This is a challenging post to make. I have made the difficult decision to take a sabbatical from Daisy Dee Photography. I am hoping to return back to behind the lens on or around October 26th.

As many of you may know, my father passed away at the end of June. His passing was unexpected and extremely difficult for our family. Sadly, Pulmonary Fibrosis was in the background, silently decreasing his lung function without our knowledge or understanding.

The decision to take a pause on taking photos during the typical busy season has not been easy. It brings me so much joy to help you capture your family's memories. However, life happens. It's a journey that has many twists and turns. If I've learned anything from this, it is the importance of showing up for yourself and for the ones you love. I am hoping that I will use this time to heal and to help transition our family into the next phase of life.

Last night was EPIC!! As an Earth and space science enthusiast, I was absolutely enthralled by the Northern lights. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my fancy camera with me, but I was able to capture a couple neat images with my phone.

My favorite is the first one! I love how you can see the Big Dipper and other stars in the background. It reminds me that we are a part of a larger, more beautiful universe.

My heart is melting over these adorable photos of the Weinmann family! Nestled in nature, their 1-year-old cutie stole the spotlight among the blooms.

I’ve been wanting to do a greenhouse inspired shoot for a long time and the enchanting Tonkadale Greenhouse was the perfect backdrop! Take this as your sign to do a greenhouse photoshoot. Bonus, you can treat yourself to a new plant baby afterwards! 💚🌱

This past Friday was AMAZING! I had the incredible honor of capturing Devin and Jessie's wedding at . Paul College Club - a historic St. Paul mansion. What a day it was! 😍💍

The love and joy that surrounded Devin and Jessie were palpable. From the heartfelt ceremony to the laughter and tears, every moment was a testament to their beautiful connection.

Devin has been a dear friend of mine since traveling abroad in 2015. As I've gotten to know the amazing Jessie more throughout the wedding planning phase and seen their loving relationship, I cannot imagine a more perfect partnership.

I'm excited to dive into editing the photos from this magical day and share them with all of you soon. But for now, here's a sneak peek of the newlyweds sharing loving moments against the mansion's grandeur. Trust me... I will be posting more of these pictures for weeks because I love how they are turning out so far!
