Surely yall remember the “rental home” clip from the birth of my son?

We were watching clips from it again tonight and yall. WHY IS MY HUSBAND SO ANXIOUS HES AGGRESSIVELY SHAKING HIS HAND 😂😭

I want to get a bunch of men together and survey what goes through their minds when their wives are in labor because what is even happening 😂😭

✨ International Homebirth Day✨

Our homebirth with Kai was such a dream. & I’ll never not talk about it. Forever in awe of Gods goodness. Forever thankful for my birth team. & forever going to share these photos from Ashley Blaney Photography because I’m not sure I’ll print them and put them all over my house (despite wanting to 🤪)

“Homebirth is not a luxury. Midwives are not a status symbol, and Doulas are not trendy. All three are rooted in cultural practices that have existed long before modern maternal care.”

Share your homebirth stories in the comments. I’d love to hear them! 💓

One of the greatest honors of this work is being invited into spaces where women feel safe enough to fully surrender to birth.

Home birth carries such a sacred atmosphere, and I would love to serve more families in that setting as I continue expanding my birth photography portfolio.

I currently have space for:
• 1 mid–late September birth
• 1 mid–late November birth
• 1 January birth
• 1 February birth

These sessions are being offered in a limited capacity and at a special portfolio-building rate.

If you’re planning a homebirth and are curious about what birth photography looks like for you and your family, I’d love to hear from you.

As both a doula and a homebirth mama myself, I am familiar with physiological birth and the rhythm of birth spaces, and I approach each one with care and respect. ♡

Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers rocking babies in the middle of the night, the mothers guiding grown children, the mothers waiting with hopeful hearts, and the mothers carrying love for babies they have not yet met or have already had to say goodbye to.

To birth mothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, and every woman who pours love, wisdom, gentleness, and strength into the lives around her.

To the women building homes filled with warmth, safety, laughter, prayer, and belonging.

To the mothers showing up day after day in the ordinary moments that quietly shape generations.

To the women nurturing life with their hands, their presence, and their hearts.

Motherhood is sacred work.
It is meaningful work.
It is Kingdom work.

And whether your motherhood feels full today, tender today, long-awaited, or deeply remembered, you are worthy of being honored.

Happy Mother’s Day ♡

Is you provider afraid of post partum hemorrhage? Then you shall receive lots of postpartum drugs weather they are needed or not.

Is your provider afraid of a baby who may come past your due date? then you shall be induced at 39 weeks.

Is your provider afraid of a shoulder dystocia? Then you shall deliver on your back.

Is your provider afraid of birth? Then you shall receive the cascade of interventions.

“Lord, make me the mother they need.”
I whisper it when I’m tired,
When I’ve lost my patience,
When I feel like I’ve failed again.

Make me patient when they’re loud,
Make me gentle when they test me,
Make me brave when I’m unsure.

And when I can’t be all those things,
Remind me that grace covers what strength cannot.

Because at the end of each long day,
I don’t need to be perfect—
I just need to keep showing up,
With love, with faith, with You beside me.

And maybe that’s what motherhood really is—
Not having it all together,
But trusting that in every stumble,
In every whispered prayer,
You are shaping me too.

With love,
Always — Mama 🤍

A sweet dear friend of mine and a fellow birth worker is going through a very scary time.

I ask that if you have a moment to take the time to read her story and above all else, pray for her family. Pray for her health, for her husband and children. Pray for her care team. Pray for peace, comfort, wisdom and discernment throughout all of this.

If you feel called to help, her GFM and other forms of payment are attached in the link.

Heidi, you are such an amazing friend, mother, wife and doula. I’m praying so so hard for you sweet friend!

2025 Recap 🫶🏼

I didn’t attend a ton of births this year, but the ones I did get to witness were oh so special.

I stood beside my sister and brother in law as they welcomed my sweet niece into this world. Nothing can truly compare to that. 🥹

I reconnected with a friend from over a decade ago, as if we had never stopped talking. I watched God move in her birth, in postpartum, and in her life throughout the year 🕊️

I was apart of a birth team supporting first time parents who had waited so, so long for their daughter. I witnessed a mother work relentlessly to bring her baby earthside. There were tears. There were prayers. The wait was over 🫶🏼

I was with one of my closest friends as she welcomed her third baby, a sweet surprise boy. She stepped into power and advocacy, and quite literally laughed and joked her way through labor as she welcomed her second son 👶🏼

I stepped in for a birth with a family I hadn’t met yet, and we clicked beyond belief. We spent hours together, and it felt like we had known each other our whole lives. They welcomed a sweet boy into this world 🩵

This year held fewer births, but each one was deeply meaningful. So grateful for a year that continually pointed me back to God’s presence and faithfulness. ♡
