Part 1 of this senior session, and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. 🤍

This was actually my very first senior session, and I was definitely nervous going into it. I felt like I kept overthinking everything and that like I could’ve done better at times, but sessions like this remind me that growth comes with experience, and every shoot teaches me something new.

We didn’t have as much time as we hoped for which is why we are planning a part 2 of this session. But even in the middle of trying to find good lighting, figuring things out, falling down and scraping my elbow (yes that totally happen and I was so embarrassed) she was absolutely amazing and so patient with me through it all. I’m so grateful she trusted me for such a special season in her life. ✨

I’m already excited for Part 2 because I know we’re only getting started, and I can’t wait to create even more together. I see how special senior sessions are now because they capture the excitement of closing one chapter and stepping into another. 🤍

The 9–5 funding the dream🤭

I know it’s meant to be funny… but there’s also a real part of me behind this one. 🤍

I dream about the day photography becomes my full-time job. A day I don’t have to squeeze editing into late nights or spend my lunch breaks answering client messages. The day I can fully create without feeling pulled in two different directions.

I see so many photographers taking the leap, quitting their jobs, and fully pursuing their business, and sometimes I wonder when I’ll get to that point too. Not because I don’t believe in myself, but because taking that step takes a level of faith I’m still growing into.

So for now, I’m still balancing both. I'm still praying and creating. I will admit I am tired on the editing days but I am still chasing this God given dream anyway.

And maybe someone else out there is in that same in-between season too. 🫶

POV: your sisters are your safe place🤍

This session was such a sweet one. We started with a cozy coffee date, just the girls laughing, talking, and enjoying sister time together. Then they headed to the park for a little flower date, and right as we got there, the rain started coming down.

We had to change our plans but honestly, it made everything even more beautiful. Instead of running from it, the girls leaned into it. Barely caring about getting a little wet, just making flower bouquets, laughing through the drizzle, and soaking in the moment together.

I truly admire how strong their bond is, the way they show up for each other with so much love, ease, and joy. I've know these girls all their lives and it is so sentimental seeing them grow up to be beautiful young godly women. It was real and one of those sessions that stays with you.

Friday feels 🌊

When they first met, they didn’t speak the same language, but they were so drawn to each other that they spent hours talking through a translator. They learned each other’s hearts before the words ever came.

Now they’re learning English and Spanish together, growing closer to each other and to the Lord.

This session reminded me how love always finds a way to be understood. I’m so thankful I got to capture a glimpse of their story by the sea. 🤍

Still not over this magical surprise proposal ✨

Alex and Ananya made the most beautiful couple — their love was so genuine, joyful, and effortless. I was actually so nervous going into this because it was my very first time photographing a surprise proposal but this has been a dream of mine for the longest, and when Alex reached out and started planning, I knew it was meant to be.

We originally planned for May 30th, but VA weather had other plans — and honestly, I think it worked out perfectly. We ended up shooting on the 1st of the month, which felt symbolic: the beginning of a new month, and the beginning of forever for them 🫶

I laugh because Alex told me he wasn’t photogenic, but let me just say — when someone is in love, it radiates. It was so easy to capture their connection and adoration for each other.

I’m truly so grateful to have had the privilege and pleasure of capturing this moment.

Also… I was DYING to post these earlier, but the day (and work) totally got away from me (full-time girlie probs)! So here we are — and fair warning: y’all are going to be so sick of me because I’ll definitely be posting this session for a while.

It’s been a slower season, but I’m staying hopeful, focused, and prepared for every opportunity that comes my way.

✨️Stepping gracefully into 35✨️

With a heart full of gratitude, I thank God for another year of life, love, and quiet transformation. Each season has shaped me, each trial refined me, and His grace has carried me every step of the way.

This birthday is a celebration of peace, purpose, and His unending faithfulness. Thank you to everyone who poured love into my day—you made it so meaningful.❤️

And for the first time ever, I get to share something deeply personal—my very first self-portrait session. Every image was styled, photographed, and edited by me. It’s been a journey of creativity and courage, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you.

I’m a little late posting these, but I was busy enjoying the weekend with my husband! Huge thanks to him for being such a good sport and letting me practice during my first ever studio session.

I don't think I did too badly for my first try. Can’t wait to keep learning and capturing more memories!

Ashley + Alden Pt2.

Two weeks ago, I captured the most adorable engagement session in the park, and despite the chilly weather, these two stuck it out and made it such a fun experience! They brought along their favorite books, a Polaroid camera to snap some of their own memories, and a throwback snack—Pizza Lunchables!

The best moment? A rock-paper-scissors battle over the last mini pizza, which had us all laughing. Even in the cold, their playful energy and sweet connection shone through. At the end of the session, they told me, "It was like we were on our own little date." My heart melted! 💍✨ Oh, and their love story was beyond adorable!

Engagement sessions like this remind me how special it is to capture love in its purest, most personal form.
