Happy Tuesday everyone! Wanted to share some updates. We are still very much so shooting weddings, elopements, engagements, proposals, etc! BUT — I’ve also decided to take on a new adventure — photographing emergency scenes. Here’s some of what we’ve been up to since late December! 🚨

Happy anniversary Yara + Selim! Had a wonderful time last February celebrating these two at Linden Row Inn with ElopeRVA. A chilly but intimate day! RVA is such a fun city to elope in. Even in the dead of “winter”! I’m really holding out that things warm up here for good soon, I’m tired of these roller coaster temps.

Richmond truly has grown on me and May will be my 5-year anniversary living here! Time has flown by. RVA slowly has started feeling like home, but forever? We’ll have to see where life takes me. Cheers to the weekend! 🥂

If you’ve followed me for awhile, these two should look awfully familiar! M+P have been part of our family for a few years now. We’ve done their engagement sesh + wedding and now the next chapter in their lives - babies! I was tickled pink when reached out to me to book a maternity sesh for him and his stunning baby-momma-to-be last fall. This sweet pair welcomed a handsome baby boy in late November and we couldn’t be more excited for them! Little man and I were only 2 days shy of even sharing a birthday. Thanks for bringing the world more Sagittarius spice 💁🏻‍♀️

We love having returning clients come back for big milestones just like this! The relationship doesn’t stop after we deliver your wedding galley. If it be anniversaries, new additions (humans or pets), or just because - we are you’re photographer for life! 💃🏻

✨Michelle + Luke✨

I was so excited when Michelle + Luke reached out about their wedding day at The Stodola! Their September wedding had the perfect backdrop thanks to the team at one of Prince George’s newest wedding venues. The weather could not be any more perfect! The dance floor was never empty, all the kegs got kicked, and everyone had a blast. Never saw so many New Balance dad shoes on a dance floor at a wedding yet! 💃🏻🕺🏻💜

✨Katie + Josh✨

Up next in my “fall photo dump” — aka finally being done with 2023 editing — I give you Mr + Mrs Folio! In September at these two wed and I was stoked to celebrate them. Our relationship started on a mountain top on the Blue Ridge Parkway for the surprise (even to me!) proposal in 2021, now their wedding! It’s been such a ride with these two and I was thankful they chose me to document their biggest moment yet. Next up, parenthood for these two! Katie is due in just a few months with their little boy 💙👣 and I’m so excited for them. Cheers! 🥂Enjoy some of my favorite candid highlights from their rainy wedding day. 🌧️🥳

✨Rachel + Ryan✨

I was thrilled with the chance to work with these two from start to finish! My first time in New England was such a blast! Hot weiners with coffee milk (iykyk), clam chowder, and brews on the water. The day before these two wed - we took the opportunity to explore Rhode Island + Connecticut, even popping into Massachusetts! Thanks for the recs on what to check out Greaves Imagery.

Upon the big day - the weather was NOT about to rain on the Zdeneks parade! Mother Nature stopped at the perfect time to allow us to still document their first look + portraits outside the StoneHurst at Hampton Valley mansion. We may have had to inact the rain plan for ceremony, but the day went off smooth sailing without a hitch! It has been a pleasure bonding with these two over our mutual love of Thomas Rhett and adventuring. These two even came down to RVA to visit me for their engagement session last fall! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two. We need more people like you two in this world. Congrats again and I hope to catch you all again soon!

✨Zahava + Mor✨

Dear golden hour, I love you… ☀️ The lighting really showed out for Z+M’s post-chuppah ceremony portraits! Zahava’s dress was the most stunningly detailed + largest gown I’ve ever had the chance to photograph - no photo could do it justice. I was impressed that the weight didn’t slow down Zahava a bit!

It may have been a scorcher of an August day, but it was filled with so much love and celebration for two people who deserve the world! It didn’t stop anyone from having the best time. The Lake House Inn was a stunning backdrop for their summer wedding! Tucked into the backroads of eastern Pennsylvania, we partied into the night through to the sparkler exit. The dance sets were filled with flips and tricks, romantic slowdowns, & skits + performances to some old school High School Musical by their wedding party. The dance floor was never quiet! It was a great kickoff to a week-long adventure.

It was so fun to see some familiar faces at this wedding, too! Referrals mean the world to us. I can never put into words how much I appreciate the people who rave about us to their family and friends. Reviews and referrals are worth their weight in gold to us creators!

✨Marc + Sarah✨

What I thought was just a regular visit with one of my best friends from college… it was anything but. The four of us had gone out to dinner the night before, zero inkling of what was to come that next day. and I really thought we were all going out sightseeing for the day that random Tuesday in August, but Marc asked us if we could go pick up a ring… and I about fell to the floor. I’ve watched these two love each other for a decade, literally since I met Marc in college our freshman year at Lynchburg in 2013! I could not get out a YES fast enough. We adventured all over the city that day: seeing the Empire State Building, roaming wild through B&H Photo, and eating some incredible food. Together we created a plan to propose on the ferry ride back during sunset to the city for evening dinner “together” - but going our separate ways so these two could enjoy a romantic dinner celebration. Sarah was so caught off guard and may have been bummed we all weren’t getting Italian together - but overall the plan went off without a single hitch! I can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds for these two. I adore and love you both so much and love the fact you wanted me to document such an exciting moment! 💚 Thanks for always being my personal NYC tour guide every time I visit because the city overwhelms me otherwise and keeping our friendship through our 20’s and miles of distance - but here’s to our 30’s soon enough 🫡

✨Rachel + Kyle✨

Swipe through to see what a difference a year makes! 365 days ago, R+K wed outside of Philadelphia - with a Catholic ceremony and reception to follow at Loch Aerie Mansion, LLC. Nothing but college football + playoff baseball on phone screens scattered through the venue, a stellar dance floor (yeah there was a mosh pit), and a guest list stacked with people who love these two deeply! But - our story began in 2021 here in RVA - when we had the pleasure to meet these two originally for their engagement session at Maymont. Quickly after their session with us, this pair relocated to South Carolina (boo!) to be closer to Kyle’s daughter and start their own life together. In August + September this year, we made the trek to Myrtle Beach x2 to document their next big life moments - maternity and newborn sessions - ending with welcoming their little man into the world! It has been such a pleasure to watch these two blossom into incredible human beings and now the parents of a new little boy. A couple thousand miles spent in the car, crossing many state lines, this chapter may just be my favorite of theirs. 💚 Happy anniversary, Zoscin Family! We adore you. Can’t wait to see you again soon!
