Dec 23rd, 2022 The temperature was mild the first part of the day, but as the afternoon progressed, the cold temps set in.
I was amazed at the roaring ocean and the rainbows the sun and waves were capturing.
This is the first of many I took that afternoon before I left this dune area.
It was good I left when I did, because the road had started to over wash and much deeper, I would not have been able to head back south to my home away from home in Rodanthe!

The Focus Group Camera Club will be exhibiting at the Richmond Library on Franklin St through the month of December.
Let me know if you have a chance to go see it. Reception will be Friday Dec 2nd 6:30-9pm

Focus Group Camera Club Exhibit This Exhibit consists of color and black-and-white images of a variety of subjects by the contributing members of the Focus Group Camera Club. It takes place in the Gellman Room of the downtown Richmond Public Library and runs from December 2nd through January 3rd.

These images are the ones I selected to show at our most recent Focus Group Camera Club.
We have a round table of 5 images and then 2 photo challenges.
The flower was an up-close challenge that I took with my camera phone. The fall leaves were my natural challenge.
Although the real challenge was climbing Crab Tree Falls and capturing the beautiful water fall images.
The last & most colorful was take at the Maymont Garden Glow.
