From the moment I held my first plastic camera, photography became my fascination. Inspired by the work of Diane Arbus, I began my journey into this art in my home country of Honduras. There were those that doubted me and advised that I pursue something more worthwhile. I forged forward, however, with the help and encouragement of those that believed in me and said, "carry on". Without them, I wou

ld not have gone on to attain what I have today. At that time, I purchased my first professional camera and shot everything possible. After some time the camera that would truly launch my career fell in my lap, a Fujifilm S4000. With it I grew in ability and skill, shooting portraits for a well-known painter and capturing memories at large parties and events. I now live and work in New Jersey with a Nikon D90.

The trials that I faced in order to arrive at the present were not easy, and I can look back and see an improvement in my work. I am self-taught, reading and exploring the latest in technique and technology. I am continuously both a master of the art and its student. I love and always will love photography.


Desde el momento en que toque mi primera camara plastica, la fotografia se volvio mi fascinacion. Inspirado en el trabajo de Diane Arbus, comence mi aventura en este arte en mi pais natal - Honduras. Hubo aquellos que dudaban de mi y aconsejaban que buscara algo mas util que hacer. Sin embargo, segui adelante con la ayuda y apoyo de los que creian en mi y decian - sigue adelante. Sin ellos, nunca habria logrado obtener lo que hoy tengo. En ese momento, compre mi primera camara profesional y fotografie todo lo posible. Este viaje realmente me terminaria costando y mi camara fue robada. Despues de un tiempo, la camara que realmente lanzaria mi carrera fue como caida del cielo, una Fujifilm S4000. Con ella, creci en abilidad y conocimiento, tomando retratos para un pintor conocido y captando recuerdos en fiestas y eventos. Actualmente vivo y trabajo en New Jersey con una Nikon D90.

Las pruebas que tuve que enfrentar para llegar al momento presente no fueron faciles, pero volteo a mirar atras y veo un mejoramiento en mi trabajo. Soy autodidacta, leyendo y explorando lo mas reciente en tecnica y tecnologia. Soy continuamente tanto un maestro del arte como un estudiante de el. Amo y siempre amare la fotografia.
