I’m going to miss this—
capturing weddings where florals did the talking,on film.

For the longest time, my site reflected everything I could do—wedding photography, branding photography, web design, portfolio curation and blogging.

But recently I made a quiet, powerful shift-I removed my wedding photography galleries.

It was really scary—it feels like I’m erasing 7 years of work that had become part of my identity.

But the moment I clicked publish, something shifted. I felt lighter.

I wanted my site to reflect where I’m going,
not just where I’ve been.

It was more than just a site update-
it was permission to focus fully on what lights me up at this stage: Designing and curating websites for wedding vendors who are looking for direction, not decoration.

It’s been quiet over here because I’ve been deep behind the scenes— designing website templates specifically for wedding vendors.

The kind of online experience I wished existed when I was deep in that world.

Happy 39 ✨ The last year before I join ‘the other club’ — and I’m celebrating with a big dream come true.

I’ve always valued experiences — giving them, sharing them, and creating them.

This year, my birthday gift is something I’ve been dreaming about for years… a space filled with light, intention and room to create. A brand photography and website studio where everything I love to do for brands lives under one roof.

In September, I’m opening a home studio — Beyond Jade Studio — right here in Richmond, Indiana.

It was a hot summer day in Taipei.
The cream barely made it out of the cone—
and my heart melts every time he calls me “Auntie”.

As an immigrant and creative, so much of what I do is rooted in holding space for in-between identities—
the ones that don’t always fit in a box,
but are rich with culture and resilience.

We carry stories that stretch across countries, languages, and generations.

Photography, for me, is about documenting connection.

It’s proof that I was there.
That he’s loved.
That we belonged.

There are moments behind the camera that catch me off guard—in the best way.
Jordan and Stephen’s wedding had one of those. A deep joy and gratitude that lingers after the day is done.

It wasn’t just a beautiful wedding—it was a day rooted in love, trust, and connection.
There was no rush. Just space to breathe, to feel, to be fully present.

🏰Once upon a time, Shaun proposed to Sam at Disneyland… so you already knew their wedding would be a dream. ✨

Their Pine K**b Mansion celebration had it all—with just the right touch of Disney magic. 🎀

Because let’s be real: you can’t have a Disney-themed wedding without Mickey and Minnie making an appearance!

From the popsicle stand on a heatwave day to the Filipino money dance that brought me to tears (thinking of my own family in Taiwan), every moment felt meaningful and unforgettable.

This one was pure magic. 🪄

It’s time for a bittersweet announcement- I’ll be moving to Indiana in June.

After many years of photographing love, and everything in between here in Michigan, this spring will be my last chance to shoot before starting a brand new chapter.

新年快樂 !!🧧Today is Chinese New Year, and this year brings a lot of exciting changes.

✨I’m rebranding Beyond Jade to , transitioning into a full-service creative studio specializing in brand photography and Showit web design for wedding vendors.

✨And in personal news—I’ll be moving to Indiana this June as my husband starts a new job! While Michigan has been home for the last decade, I’m excited for this next chapter.

I’ll still be offering wedding photography on the side, but my main focus will be helping wedding professionals elevate their brand presence through photography and web design.
