I am honored to be working with Siddall Communications on a campaign supporting maternal mental health awareness for the Virginia Department of Health.

WE NEED THE FOLLOWING MAMAS:

• 1 pregnant mama
• 1 mother with newborn (under 6 months)

✅ Ages 25–40
✅ African American or Hispanic
✅ No modeling experience required

➡️ Mid–late April
⏳5 hour time commitment

📸✨ NEW Website ✨📸 Ok, maybe not so "new" since I have been “almost done” for about 2–3 years. 😂

I am walking proof that visual perfectionism, being a mom, & running a business = a very long website build. But it’s DONE!

What is the 𝓼𝓮𝓬𝓻𝓮𝓽 to an authentic maternity session?✨✨✨After 20+ years experience with photography, I’ve learned that 𝓼𝓵𝓸𝔀𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓭𝓸𝔀𝓷 𝓲𝓼 𝔀𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓽𝓻𝓾𝓮 𝓪𝓻𝓽 𝓵𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓼.

It is in creating space for the session to breathe.
The magic happens in the 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓾𝓷𝓱𝓾𝓻𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓭 𝓭𝓲𝓻𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 & 𝓪 𝓽𝓻𝓾𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓭 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓾𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷.
I am not the only one creating the art in the session... we are creating it together with presence and connection.

The way a mother’s body knows what her babies need. The way she gives, instinctively and endlessly. This is all nature’s own art.

It takes effort and intension to wake up Saturday morning and slow down from the week. Put the phone down, open the windows, smell the fresh coffee brewing, and delight in the beautiful chaos of kids playing in the background. Even for just one minute, this perspective will bring a flood of gratitude. 🙏🏼
