Spring Concert 2026
Ah, another good year that the music program has not fallen victim to budgetary cuts. The singing culture is able to continue with vibrancy!
This being the 250th birthday of these United States, set the theme for the event. Participants for the evening were from kindergarten, 2nd and the 4th grades.
And who came? Not only the immediate student families with siblings, but also included the grandparents. How much seating space was there? Not very many empty spaces at all.
It was so nice to see that at least the cell phone cameras came out to record this bit of history in the life of the children.
Let us salute the teachers and music department in their dedication to make this all happen well.
There was a reward to the evening. That was the double rainbow as the skies broke with the sun peeking out as the rains moved out.

On the 2nd Tuesday of each month, Ripon Grace Lutheran Church , produces this community Sharing Table meal. The Men Of Grace put on their annual Fish Fry. With the help of a number of volunteers, food donations, a meal is prepared.

AND at the same quad school meet, the men Hornets met up with the Hilltopers. It's just a bit sad again this year, that Hilltopers are low on squad members. We must, without any sort of hesitation, give that squad credit in spirit to fight on and do their best.

Dateline: Princeton HS, Dec 9th. The men Hornets took to the mats for a quad school meet in wrestling along with the Tiger Sharks, Hilltopers, and the mighty Oaks of Oakfield. While the weather outside was to become frightening with the incoming snow, action inside was competitive. And as usual, spectators were fair game for the camera lens. In the Town Square Photo Group in Facebook/Meta for the month of December, the theme is "D".
“ D “ – Domestic Abuse.\
Not the most glamorous topic of discussion at any time. And the real images are never gorgeous award winners. It is a matter that does have its support and consequences for its actions.
I write out of frustration today from contact of a longtime female acquaintance this afternoon, that has for some time been the victim/recipient of verbal/emotional abuse/conduct from her adult child.
I have offered some thoughts/advice based on experience from my previous and continuous employment in the law enforcement field. Upon reading the lady’s comments, deeply saddened me beyond what many may not think or expect could affect me. Frustration with a flicker of anger in the domestic situation arose. And ask ‘WHY’?
As previously stated to the lady, that I am and always will be available to her whenever assistance is needed. That includes her removal from the residence and transportation to a safe place, either in the county of residence or in my residence. And most of all, if harmed, to call the authorities.
Every ‘victim’ needs support. Whether that is from family, friends, or government agency.
The situation needs to end this vicious cycle, regardless how frequent or not the action does arise.
It is one thing to discuss or argue. But, to intimidate and/or threaten, now can become a criminal action if it can be reported and Law Enforcement becomes involved progressing through the judicial system.
How many news reports does it take or will it take on that of a missing person, only to be discovered as a fatal victim of domestic abuse/violence?
Of course I am puzzled, that my acquaintance is reluctant to accept the aid to remove herself.
Let’s have a short discussion on DV.
What are the types: physical, sexual, economic, emotional, psychological, and cultural/identify abuse.
Therefore, what is domestic abuse? Domestic abuse is a pattern of behavior used by one person in a relationship to control the other person. It is caused by one person’s belief that he/she has the right to control the other party.

This week Thursday, Markesan Middle School Boys Basketball took on Dodgeland at their home court. While the 7th grades had a sort of remarkable score imposed on the home team. These images are a few example of the expressions on the players working hard to be fierce players.
