To my clients, friends, and family,
This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write.
For years, Samtacular Photography has been built with my whole heart. Every session and every wedding has meant something to me. My goal has always been to capture the moments you’ll look back on for the rest of your life.
Over the last 4 years I’been threatened with divorce, my personal life has been consumed by circumstances that slowly spilled into my business. Many of you have watched pieces of my journey unfold this year—my marriage ending, financial hardship, losing my home, and trying to rebuild my life from the ground up. What many didn’t see was how deeply those struggles affected me behind the scenes.
I still don’t have a reliable vehicle, which has made rebuilding my life and business even more difficult.
As a result, there were weddings that took much longer to edit than they ever should have. Messages I should have answered sooner. Clients who deserved better communication from me. Some showed incredible patience, while others understandably became frustrated.
To every client I let down, I am sincerely sorry.
This isn’t a post asking for sympathy. It’s a post about accountability.
I’ve spent a long time reflecting, and I’ve realized that I cannot continue operating the way I have been. My clients deserve consistency, communication, and reliability, and I am committed to rebuilding my business with those values at the forefront.
To any client who currently has a session booked with me and has already paid a retainer or deposit, I want you to know that you have options.
You may choose a full refund, no questions asked, or you may choose to have your session photographed by my trusted second photographer, Corinne Leigh Photography. Corinne is an incredibly talented photographer whose work I trust wholeheartedly, and I know she would take wonderful care of you.
Photography is still my passion. It always will be. But moving forward, Samtacular Photography is going to look different. I’m putting better systems in place, limiting what I can realistically take on, and making communication a priority so every client receives the experience they deserve.
To those who have continued to believe in me through the darkest season of my life—thank you. Your support has meant more than you know.
This isn’t the end of Samtacular Photography.
It’s the beginning of rebuilding it the right way.
With love,
Samantha
