Been sneaking a little analog film into the shoots this week and I’m loving it.
There’s something special about loading Portra 800 into this beautiful mechanical Nikon FM2 — no batteries, no screens, just you and the light. Complete opposite of my Sony A9 III beast.
Paired with the manual Voigtlander 50mm 1.4 Nokton… the grain, the tones, the way it renders everything just hits different.

One of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever had the chance to film.
Today my video team and I were at Waterfall Lodge near Santa Cruz, and this mirrored aisleway stopped us in our tracks. The trees reflecting perfectly in the glass made the entire space feel like it was floating between the forest and the sky.
Some locations just hit different. This was one of them.
Grateful for days like this and for getting to capture moments in places this special.

Waking up in Brookdale, California this morning and the energy already feels right.
Today I’m filming a wedding at Waterfall Lodge & Retreat — tucked into the redwoods with waterfalls, towering trees, and that perfect mix of rustic and romantic.
Looks like it’s going to be an epic day.
