Such a beautiful day celebrating these two at Dove Canyon Courtyard in Rancho Santa Margarita.

Dove Canyon is one of those hidden gems in Orange County. With its beautiful courtyard, greenery, fountains, waterfall, and romantic lights, it creates such an intimate setting for a wedding.

Emily and John’s day was filled with love, laughter, and so many genuine moments. From the quiet moments before the ceremony to celebrating with their family and friends, it was an incredible day to document.

There’s something powerful about the quiet moments before everything begins.

Groom ready. Suit on. A few minutes to himself before walking into one of the biggest moments of his life.

I loved how the architecture and massive windows at Dove Canyon in Rancho Santa Margarita framed this scene. The light, reflections, shadows, and stillness came together perfectly for a dramatic black and white image.

Wedding photography isn’t only about the ceremony, the first kiss, or the portraits. It’s also about noticing these small moments in between. The ones that tell you exactly what the day felt like.

And sometimes, you just have to step back and let the scene speak for itself. 📸
