An Arm and a Leg? Not Quite… But Let’s Talk Pricing! 🤔
I see those “ISO Photographer (but not an arm and a leg)” posts all the time.
And trust me, I get it. Seeing photographers charging in the $30 range for a session can make you wonder why others charge more.
Running a photography business isn’t just snapping pictures it’s paying for monthly contract sites, websites, license, insurance , gear, monthly editing software, SD cards, and *so* much more. Plus, the hours spent culling and editing? It all adds up. If you broke down what a photographer charging less than Michigan’s average makes per hour, you’d be looking at somewhere between $3-$8 an hour. (Factoring in session times & estimated culling/editing time ) That’s less than minimum wage.
Now, don’t worry I don’t charge *actual* arms or legs. But I do charge for the work I put in. And if cost is a concern, I do have other packages available for less costs 🥰
At the end of the day, I want my clients to have their memories & a great/ friendly experience without sacrificing my time, efforts, or livelihood. So, if you’re looking for a fun time & some frozen memories - let’s chat! 💛
I specialize in family photography, maternity, newborn, event and much more no idea is too big or small I do it all!! 💕
Below are some before an after a of my most recent work, she wanted a golden hour shoot but the sun was taking its time to set, so I worked a bit of magic. This is why I love what I do so much 🥰
