I’ve been putting off posting this because I haven’t found the words to express how proud I am is this intelligent, kind, and beautiful young woman. This is my little sister and she’s now in college. I was truly honored to take her senior pictures.
I’ve gotten to watch her grow up into the amazing young woman she is and I can’t wait to see what other amazing things she’s gonna do. Watch out y’all, this girl is gonna change the world.

Two weeks ago, I watched one of my best friends, Kara Doughtie, receive her master's degree, and then last week, I got to take grad photos of her.

I met Kara in September 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church. We initially bonded over our mutual love of writing, the Oxford Comma, and Christian Theology, but as we got closer, we realized that we have so much more in common and that we share some of the same struggles.

Before coming to Radford, I was worried about finding good friends, and the Lord blessed me with Kara and many others. Kara has been such a light in my life, and I'm so happy that we've both decided to stay in the Radford area because I honestly don't know what I'd do without her.

Kara doesn't have social media, so she won't see this, but I want her to know how much she means to me. She has been such a great friend in the past two years, and I know that she'll continue to be a fantastic friend in the future. I want to thank her for being such a positive influence in my life, and I only hope that I can be as half as good a friend to her as she is to me.

I got to take my little brother's senior pictures yesterday. It's hard to believe that tomorrow, the little boy who used to run around in a Spider-Man costume and put dirt in his hat during his baseball games is going to be a high school graduate. I'm so incredibly proud of him. He's grown up into such a great young man. His love for Christ is evident in everything he does and says. I know God has some really cool things in store for his future and I can't wait to see what they are. Jaden, I love you lots and I'm really proud to be your older sister.

Hello! I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything, but I figured I'd hop on and introduce myself a little and Joyful Photos is all about.

My name is Caitlin and I love photography. I've been taking pictures since I always a kid and right now, I'm totally self-taught. Since I'm studying journalism at Radford University, I'm taking a few classes that involve photography so you can expect to see photos from those classes featured on this page and my WordPress site. I will be posting more frequently since I've upgraded my camera.

I've decided to call this page Joyful Photos mainly because my middle name is Joy, but I also like to capture happy, joyful moments. I love my Jesus and I was created with a talent for photography, so I'm going to use it to bring glory to Him.

I've recently upgraded my camera so check by soon for open bookings and prices!
