Treble Makers Music is now offering family music classes at the Taubman art museum. Classes got to a fabulous start this morning. So bring your little ones for some musical fun. Admission to Art Venture is included with the class fee. Upcoming lessons on September 10, 17, and 24.

Kristen operates BOCO Fit Rage. For the past couple of years, she has opened the gym every Wednesday night to Special Olympics Virginia-Area 8: Roanoke Valley athletes to provide them with fitness training. Her work with the athletes has been recognized by Special Olympics Virginia which certified BOCO Fit Rage as an affiliate gym. Kristen enjoys working with the athletes, and they respond positively to her energetic direction. Some weeks she has more athletes come to the gym, but no matter the size of the group she always brings her enthusiasm. Kristen is invested in helping Special Olympics so the gym has fielded a team for the Southwest Plane Pull for the last two years to raise money for Area 8. Her team has won awards both years they participated including one award for the top fundraiser.

Special Olympics Virginia-Area 8: Roanoke Valley - Judging by the energy and enthusiasm, the first ever cheerleading camp was a success! Thanks to all the volunteers who helped to make the event possible. Special shoutout to the Botetourt HS cheerleaders who shared their time and talents.

When a 6 year old at a photoshoot is very curious about your camera and the pictures you're taking, you hand him a point and shoot camera to use. Always love fostering an interest in photography especially in kids. Encourage creativity and see the world through their eyes. Here are some of the shots he took. I helped steady his hand and frame the shot for the first image. But the rest are all his own.

When your adult children are visiting, it's a great time to have a photoshoot. Had so much fun with this lovely family. There were a lot of smiles. Although there was a lot of coaxing and heckling about showing some teeth. There was even a monetary bribe! Gotta love family! 🙂
