It was a pleasure to capture moments from the recent Clockwork Youth Academy football and volleyball camp in Roanoke. Since my own children were participants, I decided to bring my camera along and document some of the memories being made throughout the day.

Seeing young athletes learn new skills, build confidence, and simply enjoy the experience made for some meaningful photographs. Programs like this are possible because of the coaches, volunteers, parents, and supporters who invest their time and energy into the youth of our communities.

Thank you to Clockwork Youth Academy for providing opportunities for local children to learn, grow, and create lasting memories. Here are a few moments from the day.

Summer workouts are officially underway at Handley.

As a photographer, I am always mindful of the guidelines and restrictions surrounding athletic programs, so I am selective about what I capture and share. That responsibility comes with the profession.

That said, here are a few glimpses from the early days of summer football workouts. The foundation is being laid, the work is being put in, and the season ahead is beginning to take shape.

My bonus son is working toward earning his place on the team, so there is a good chance football may make a few more appearances in my portfolio this year. For now, I’ll continue documenting the moments that tell the story—one frame at a time. 📸🏈
