ATTENTION EVERYONE:

due to the issues that have been coming about with the creation of this page I have decided to shut this page down and combine it with Faces of Recovery. I will be merging the pages in the next few days so please if you would like to still follow along with the Weight of Addiction stories that are posted please make sure you like and follow Faces Of Recovery Project . Once I have the current installments moved over and this page down I will be posting the next installment on to that page.

Thank you all for understanding and hopefully (fingers crossed) this will correct all of the technical issues that have been happening

Hello and Welcome to the Weight Of Addiction page. This is the spinoff of The Faces Of Recovery Project.

What exactly is the weight of addiction? Let me explain a little bit

The weight of addiction is the weight that we as addicts put onto the people in our lives. This is their time to share their personal stories of what it is like to love someone who is an addict. As an addict you do not always know what you do to the people around you who love and care about you and your safety.

This is their time to shine that light on what it is like being on the other side of addiction. The pain, the terror, the sadness, and the love.

As important as it is to shed that light on addiction and make it known that it is a real life problem that needs to be discussed, it is also important to shed that light on the stories behind the addict, so that others out there who are going through or have gone through the similar know that they are NOT ALONE and that your story is important as well in the world of addiction and recovery.

I am looking for all willing participants for this project. Whether you be a parent, grandparent, sibling, child, cousin, or friend. If you have been affected in anyway in your life with someone who is an addict, I want to help you tell your story.

This can be a 2 photo session (a dark and now) the dark will not be as dark as Faces by any means and your story. Your story for this spinoff can be as long as you would like, there are no limits to how much you put into your story.

This will not only benefit those who have also been on the other side of addiction but will also be a great insight for those who are addicts. This will help the addict see what our loved ones go through/ have gone through during our addiction.
