Corbett's Glen Nature Park proves you don't need a lot of acreage to get a lot of variety. Tucked behind residential streets in Brighton, this small preserve packs in a waterfall, a stone tunnel, and shaded trails — and somehow still feels like a world away from the city, even though downtown is only minutes out. I've shot senior portraits, engagements, and family sessions here, and each group gets something a little different out of it.

Boughton Park is one of the quieter locations on my list, and that's exactly what makes it work. Just outside Rochester near Victor, it offers three lakes, winding trails, and open fields with long views that feel far more remote than the short drive out there would suggest. It's a favorite for families who want room for kids to explore, seniors who want a mix of lakeside and woodland shots, and couples looking for something quiet and a little romantic.
