EXCITING BUSINESS UPDATE 🎉

Say hello to the ALP Wedding TEAM!! 🥹 Over the past few months, we’ve had the exciting opportunity to grow over here and I am so excited to *officially* introduce you all to the lovely Loryn. You may recognize her name from some posts over the past several months. And if you’re a past client of mine, you might even recognize her from your wedding day. Over the past 2-3 years, she’s worked with me on so many weddings as a 2nd shooter and an incredible associate. She’s the face behind so many of the beautiful images I’ve gotten to share lately, and I’m so excited to be partnering with her to document so many more of your milestones. 📷

So what does this mean?

Not much is changing here at ALP—except that we now have the capacity to serve even more of you! With Loryn joining my team as a lead photographer, you’ll have the option to work with her when you inquire. She’s incredibly talented, and I can’t wait for you all to experience her beautiful work! Nothing like eloping on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in April ☔️

One week since Emily and Eldon’s beautiful, intimate ceremony with just their closest family members. 💕 This afternoon was so special.

Let me tell you the story of how I met Rachel & Geoff 💫

You know when you’ve lived through a few different life phases and you see a familiar face out in public, it takes a minute to recall which season of life you know them from? “Was it high school? College? My old job? The last church I went to?? I KNOW I’ve seen them somewhere….” Last year, these two caught my eye at church one morning and it took an entire 45 minute sermon of racking my brain to figure out how I knew them. (Sorry, . I promise I was listening too 🤣)

Then it hit me. I had just finished editing a wedding that included many photos of them being ADORABLE on dance floor. 😂 (peep the last slide for a throwback!!) So naturally, being the weird and awkward human I am, I approached them and said “this is going to sound so creepy, but I’ve been staring at your faces on my computer for the past week.” 🫣 Thankfully, by some miracle, I didn’t scare them away and they trusted me to photograph their engagement photos a few weeks ago 😂💕

Let the lesson be: if you’re a frequent flyer on the dance floor at any wedding I photograph, there’s a good chance I’ll recognize you in the future. But it doesn’t have to be weird. We can be friends. 😜

When I finally have the words for all that this shoot was… I’ll let you know. But what an HONOR it was to work on this project that has quite literally been several months in the making, with this sweet, beautiful, powerful, gifted and inspiring friend, . Thank you for inviting me into this sacred moment of embracement of the many parts of who you are. You are a treasure, my friend!!

And thank you .nicole.photography for your willingness to always get creative with me and have loads of fun doing it. 🤍

Mom & Dads Christmas gift to the fam this year was a trip to a sunnier place all together. 💛 Got to enjoy uninterrupted time with the whole family for the first time since…high school? And with all the great +1s we’ve added over the years. So grateful for this crew I get to call my family. I’ll never take for granted how lucky I am to call these incredible humans my home.

Also… can we talk about how stinkin’ cute my parents are?! 🥹

The time has come….

My 2024 wedding books are closed. 🤍 I am beyond excited to work with so many INCREDIBLE couples this year and in order to serve them well, I won’t be taking on anymore for this year. (Unless you’re having a civil ceremony or eloping- in which case please reach out and we’ll see what we can do!!)

As always, thank you for the continued support of this lil business and to all current and past clients for continuously sending your friends and family my way. 3 years ago I never would have imagined that this would be my life. I feel so lucky to be a part of these big moments with you. 🤍
