Otis 🤍 I'm not sure if it's his zest for life, his gigantic smile or his big ole' block head but this boy is as captivating as can be. Honestly, he’s wonderful. Otis is non-destructive, great with dogs and great with all of the kids he's met. He is good on a leash, is working on manners and sleeps through the night. Otis was found abandoned and in rough physical shape. He was way underweight and his skin was terrible. He's healing but needs assurance he will not be abandoned again. He does cry when his people leave the home but settles quickly. Otis is working on house training but we are hoping that once he is neutered (before he is adopted), he will catch on quickly. If you or anyone you know has any interest in this beautiful 3yo boy, please apply and please share. He deserves the best chapters of his life from here on out.

I have thought long and hard about this post and the events leading up to this photo session; the 1500 beagles that were saved from Ridglan farms in WI after years of advocacy and protests and the lucky eight that made their way to Against All Oddz Animal Alliance Inc. I've lost sleep knowing that there are 60,000 more animals right up the street in North Rose, NY being bred every day for scientific research just like these eight beautiful pups. Meeting these dogs was a game changer for me. Seeing how curious they were about life outside of a windowless, wire caged laboratory where the lights were always on and sleeping standing up was their normal made me simultaneously sick to stomach and so grateful for animal advocates. Photographing their beautiful faces but catching glimpses of their tattoo'd ears, missing pieces and clear signs of neglect and abuse was a lot to take in. I left their photo session thinking, wow do we take our surroundings for granted or what? The grass, sunshine, wind, bugs, rain, snow, the smell of fresh cut grass, couches, soft blankets, safe stable shelter, human touch meant to comfort and show positive affection- ALL of this was new to them and so much more. Seeing their unsure expression when the wind hit their big floppy years, their interest in flying insects, the instinctual curiosity of running, playing and grooming their fellow canine friends; it was a day that I will take to my grave. The majority of these pups ranging in age of 1-13 years have found furever homes. Some of these beagles are still waiting but they are in great hands; safe and loving and will never have to endure the pain and suffering that they did at that hell hole again.

I'd like to invite you to stand up and peacefully protest with us in two weeks at the Free the Dogs Rally (plus ferrets, cats and pigs) on June 26 and 27th. https://facebook.com/events/s/free-the-dogs-rally-at-marshal/1479899746772421/ Change does not happen overnight but Ridglan Farms is a prime example of the power of advocacy and if anyone can do it, we can. Upstate NY is fierce, animal advocates are fierce and we will make a difference for those still waiting to be saved.

These animals deserve more and we can help. These eight beagles are real living proof. Please share 🙏🏼

I swear this little girl is one of the prettiest puppies I've ever photographed. At just 9 months old, and to no fault of her own, Mia has found herself in need of a new home. Mia is all things puppy- friendly, playful, energetic, a little clumsy in the cutest way and very eager to please. Once she gets all of her happy feels out, she is the best snuggler in the world. Mia is incredibly treat motivated and will choose a sit and wait over the chance to frolic if a treat is involved. I saw this first hand when her current brother Mac wanted to play but I had the treats. Mia ignored his play bows and opted for a pupperoni 🤣 She is working on potty training and in standard puppy training to prefect her manners. Sit and wait for a treat, no problem. She is crate trained and currently lives in blissful harmony with both kids and her bulldog brother. She had never met me and yet let me dress her up for three costume changes, happily. Mia is gorgeous and ready for a furever home to call her own. Scooby- also known as your future best friend- whether that be for a short time (foster) or a life time (furever). Upon opening my car door for this handsome 5yo hunk, he ran right up and helped himself to the most glorious intro filled with tail wags, sniffs, kisses and pure excitement to meet a complete stranger. His magnetic personality was a shoo-in for a successful photo session. Scooby did not disappoint. He ran link the wind when he was told he could, sat and waited when he needed to show off his incredible trained skills and took treats happily and with appreciation. This boy aims to please. Scooby is big and strong, athletic and has a lot of positive energy. His foster mom has nothing but amazing things to say about him. He is loyal, protective, crate and house trained, walks well on a leash, knows just about every command out there and has been waiting way too long for a family to finally call his own. Unfortunately, his current foster momma will be starting school and will not have the free time to give to Scooby, both of which needs and deserves. If you have any interest in giving this beautiful boy a home, temp or permanent, please reach out to Diamonds in the Ruff Rescue and apply today at https://diamondsintheruffanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=20517708&fbclid=IwRlRTSASHjJdleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeZ1BuHTVGEwOkSQ0VN1XbUfCJFnM4keNbCUq_AiW9XN64i0jkxLOmyFXqdBI_aem_cMv2MWdQ1iwCg5BF9M3yWA

This was such a beautiful, bittersweet session. Doogan was turning 9 and his incredible mom and dad wanted to celebrate every second. Heartbreakingly, there is a large chance it will be Doogan's final birthday. Doogan had an aggressive cancer that is no longer treatable. He is such a happy boy with a huge zest for life, his parents, his sister Chelsea and his most prized possession, his football 🏈. I wish all dogs were loved this much. Doogan has only known a glorious life filled with so much devotion, laughs, playtime, comfort, safety, adventures and security that, without a doubt, will continue until his final breath. Happiest of birthdays sweet boy. So much love and hugs to his devoted parents. If only they stayed with us forever 🫶 Thank you for loving him like you do.

Dumpling 🥟 This little lady has been working so hard for her future family. Last year, Dumping was pullled from the local city shelter in Buffalo, NY. Dumpling was in rough rough shape. Emiciated and missing way too much fur. After a long road to recovery- physically, mentally and emotionally, Dumpling finally found her way to Against All Oddz Animal Alliance Inc. She is due to become a training graduate this week 🎓 and her trainer had nothing but great things to say about her. Unfortunately, Dumpling injured her leg right before her photo shoot so she did have a donut 🍩 on. In true Dumpling go with the flow fashion, she just went with it. The prettier the better for her. I think she preferred the rainbow lei the most but she was willing to show off the contrast of her stark black fur to the pinks and blues as well! Luckily, Hawaiian leis are not the only thing she likes to wear. This girl is actually a big fan of pajamas!! She's a true diva at heart. Dumpling is still very young- about 1-2 years old and a pint size low rider weighing in at 40 pounds, full grown and not to worry- her leg injury was mild and totally recoverable; a few stitches did the trick!
Dumpling is crate trained, potty trained and cat friendly. Dumpling can live with another pup but it was must compatible and a meet and greet is required. She had a past incident of getting overstimulated and nipping so no small kiddos for this small lady. She loves a good snooze fest with a soft blanket and a family that doesn't mind an adorable little snore or snort once in a while; thank you bulldog genetics. Dumpling really deserves her own home. We may not know her past but we can determine her future and it's going to be a great one. Please share this adorable little chunk-o-love 🫶🙏🏼

There is something so special about an Irish Wolfhound 🇮🇪. Maybe it's the fact that they actually were used to hunt wolves. Maybe it's because they were the chosen dog in times of war due to their incredible sighthound instincts and loyalty. Maybe it's just because they are gigantic and gorgeous but Leo is something most certainly special. This three year old boy is going to be a training graduate on 5️⃣/2️⃣7️⃣ and he desperately needs a home- foster or adopter 🏡
Leo needs a calm and structured environment. As he grew from a small pup to a 95lb big boy, he didn't have the tools he needed to learn about self control. It's not his fault but it is time to blossom and blossoming he is 🌼!! In the most perfect world, Leo will be in a quiet home with a low amount of traffic. Historically, Leo's most difficult times have been when he is startled, experiences a big unexpected transition or feels the need to protect his food and prized possessions. Leo cannot live small kids for this reason, way too fast and unpredictable. He can live with pups but again- controlled and structured is his new love language.
Upon meeting Leo, I was so smitten. He came right up to me for pets, walked well on a leash to our photo session and took treats nicely. It was clear he was ready to get his big boy energy out so we let him run (on leash) for a few photo opps. When we got back to his home base, he decided to show me that he knew paw and it instantly became his most favorite game. He's very sweet. He has the littlest pointy ears that only pop up during activity or for a really exciting word or treat. His eyes are amber and just radiate against his shaggy crème coat. Leo is house broken, crate trained in times of needed transition, is not destructive when left alone and is very food motivated. This is an urgent plea for a placement once he graduated from his board and train. Please reach out to his rescue, Against All Oddz Animal Alliance Inc. to inquire today and as always, please share 🙏🏼🐺
