So I’ve been in Florida the past few days helping my mom since she recently had back surgery. This has allowed me to take in some warm weather and get some photos I haven’t really been able to get up north due to the winter weather. I spend most of my time with my mom, but when she’s resting at home I get a chance to head out, and of course sunset beach photos are always a requirement when I’m here.

It’s been a long time since I’ve come to see this place and pretty much gone. Well before I started photography I was coming here as a kid to hangout with friends. Now everything is pretty much gone. I hope very build it bigger And better for kids to make future memories here.

I am not built for this weather. I’d rather be in Phoenix for the summer than anywhere in the snow long term. Still enjoy this simplistic view of Charlotte Pier here in Rochester NY. The place where you get to enjoy frostbite on your fingers because you took the wrong gloves with you.

I personally don’t fully agree with the post made the other day about Instagram’s future. How do you prove a photographer is authentic or not? Do you think my photos are showing my authentic self? Does AI need to be a thing on IG at all? Shouldn’t AI always be flagged and removed if not tagged as being AI? Why do I need to prove I’m not AI when it should be on the platform to trigger what’s AI? What’s going to happen in the future is it’s going to be harder for newer photographers to take off on IG. I personally don’t put the effort into getting a following right now, but I see this making it far more difficult for anyone in the coming years and can see that I’ll regret not trying more 10 years ago.

This morning I went out to Letchworth to check on the state of the leaves and was met with a giant hot air balloon rising up from the gorge. I forget sometimes what a perfect place it is for ballooning and seems to be out there every time I see one. Must be a great ride I’ll have to take one day. Don’t mind the leaf color on the edits. My white balance was off and I decided to take liberties with that instead of fixing it.

Tucked away behind a small-town inn, I stumbled on a little garden looking modest but it had some hidden gems.
The flowers seemed to tell a story—the fiery orange and yellow bloom caught in its slow unfurling, red petals hidden behind other blooms, and a radiant pink dahlia standing tall with quiet confidence.
What started as a casual walk turned into something more: a reminder of where I feel the most at peace with photography. The stillness of nature has a way of resetting everything. In the rhythm of petals and leaves, I found my spark for my work—not quite a jolt to the system, but a small tingle that triggered the right feelings.
Sometimes, inspiration doesn’t come from the hustle, the fast past movements of the world, or the constant need to create—sometimes it waits quietly in forgotten corners of the world, asking only that you slow down enough to notice.

Just drive flowers that were at the in Rochester NY. My mom came up to visit from Florida and we decided to go there. The exhibits were intriguing and the garden was beautiful. Learning about the early days of cameras was pretty cool too. 10/10 would go again. Highly recommend people check it out.

This isn’t the best photo in the world, but I like it. I like just how simple it is. Now only if the bees that were around there would have landed in some spots to give it a bit more.

Nothing quite like waking up to watch the sunrise. It’s been a while since I’ve done it, but it was worth it. I will definitely try for more…. Which isn’t saying much as the sun raises much later in the winter.

I went out hoping to make a video if there was heavy rain, but it was light misty rain that wouldn’t be enough to keep me from walking to school as a kid. Still, the moody clouds and the waves on the lake made up for my plans not working out for day.

From a recent trip out to Letchworth. Needed to get out take take photos in the middle of the day to see if I still got it…and I do. One thing I want to remind all people, not just photographers, while there me be a “best” time of day to do anything, it doesn’t mean it’s the only time of day. Just go out and do your thing. Don’t wait as that might start the bad habit of just pushing it off indefinitely.
