LET’S TALK ABOUT IT 🗣️ What actually makes a great actor headshot, anyway? Because it’s not *just* a nice photo of you smiling at the camera! We believe a truly great headshot for actors and performers ticks these boxes:
☑️ You’re unquestionably the star of the show. You’re not competing with anything else for focus, so lighting is even, the background is simple, and every visual choice intentionally supports the message you want to send.
☑️ You know (and show) who you are. You’ve clearly put the work in to discover the kinds of roles you’re likely to play, without limiting room for possibility, and show exactly what you bring to the table without saying (or singing) a word.
☑️ You look like you do when you walk in the room. Your headshot accurately reflects your appearance and energy on any given day so the folks behind the table can recognize you and easily determine where you fit.
☑️ You’ve covered your bases so you have a great selection of shots to choose from for a wide variety of auditions, submissions, and other opportunities (and aren’t locked in to just one headshot).
☑️ You look comfortable, confident, and in your element, even if you secretly don’t like having your photo taken. Your headshots bring out what you love about yourself instead of highlighting your insecurities, which makes others want to lean in, learn more, and love you, too.
☑️ Your photographer understands the unique needs of performers (because actor headshots serve a much different purpose than corporate headshots!) and ensures you truly shine like the star you are.
Here’s the bottom line: We see so many incredibly talented local performers who are deserving of better headshots. As artists ourselves, we help showcase what makes our clients so special and make sure they have everything they need to succeed. So, let’s get you booked this season! 🎭
