Guess what your mama wants for Mother’s Day? Guess what your spouse wants for Mother’s Day? A DAY OFF! Alone time! A close third is family portraits! Make it easy and fun and let the kids decide where, as long as dad decides what to wear. Pro tip, it’s something nice! Jeans and blue shirt or white shirt. Or do it opposite and let the kids decide what to wear and you decide location! You just tell her to show up and I’ll take care of the rest. Make getting pictures done an adventure and something fun, most of all something easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Every year at about this time, I start getting imposter syndrome. I start thinking, what if no one likes my photos any more? What if no one books a session with me? What if I don’t “got it” any more? Gosh this other photographer is so much better than me what if I just quit and move on with my life? And then, I do my first couple of sessions after hibernating for the winter and I get back on track. It’s still a battlefield in my mind about all the things, but then I get a review that says they love the pictures and I did such a great job and I feel real again and not like an imposter. I’ve been doing this for a very long time and I still get queasy before almost every session.
I’m so excited for this newborn to arrive, I’m so thankful you chose me to capture the first moments for you. Happy Spring everyone, today’s weather is supposed to be amazing! 🌻🌞❤️

It really is an honor to be apart of families growth for long periods of time. I’ve done wedding to newborn to senior pictures and all the milestones along the way. Am I showing my age? Maybe, but I’m also showing my growth and maturity in photography. I’ve found content in finding my consistency in editing images and making connections with families and children. This is how I measure success. Not by numbers and accounts but by watching and documenting humans live their life and grow to be who they are! Humanity is precious and I love what I do! 🌻🌞❤️
