Emily + Andrew // July 22, 2022

Four years ago, Emily and Andrew tied the knot Blakes Orchard & Cider Mill in Armada. 🤍

One of the biggest things we remember from their wedding day was how sweetly these two looked at each other.

There was such a genuine softness between them. The kind where you could tell they felt completely comfortable, happy, and at home together.

Sometimes it isn’t one huge moment that stays with you. Sometimes it’s simply the way two people looked at each other all day long.

Monica + Dave // July 21, 2023 🤍

Three years ago today, these two officially tied the knot!

Looking back, one of the things I remember most isn’t even a specific photo or moment from the timeline—it’s how kind they were to me. I was about six months pregnant with Kieren at the time, and throughout the day they kept checking in on me and making sure I was doing okay.

It’s a small thing, but those little acts of kindness stick with you.

They also knew how to throw one heck of a party (I mean…just look at this photo 😂).

Cake smashes never go out of style. 🎂✨

I had the sweetest time celebrating Bellamy’s first birthday with this dreamy cake smash session.

From the soft pinks and florals to the frosting-covered fingers, every little detail came together perfectly. And once she realized cake was fair game? Safe to say she understood the assignment. 🤍

One of my favorite parts of photographing little ones is watching their personalities take over. No amount of planning can compete with the genuine expressions that happen once they start exploring, tasting, and making a delightful mess.

Thanks for letting me help celebrate such a special milestone, Bellamy! 💕

Sharon + Charlie // July 20, 2019

Seven years ago today, Sharon and Charlie tied the knot!

The biggest thing I remember from their wedding wasn’t the flowers or the timeline—it was Mother Nature deciding to make an entrance. During their indoor ceremony, a massive thunderstorm rolled through and knocked the power out…just long enough for everyone to look around wondering, “Well…now what?” 😂

Thankfully, it was only out for a couple of minutes before everything came back on and the day carried on without a hitch.

Looking back now, it’s kind of fitting. Sometimes life throws a few unexpected storms your way, but seven years later, here they are still standing together.

Happy 7th Anniversary, Sharon + Charlie! Wishing you many more years of love, laughter, and only the occasional dramatic weather. 🤍

Maria + Dan Turchyn// July 17, 2016

Every wedding has something that sticks with me years later.

For Maria and Dan, it was experiencing a traditional Serbian Orthodox wedding ceremony.

I remember walking into the church not really knowing what to expect, but from the very beginning, I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The priest encouraged me to move throughout the church so I could document the ceremony from different perspectives—even allowing me up near the altar!

Toward the end of the ceremony, he even paused for a quick smile at the camera. 😊
(It was very unexpected and definitely gave me a laugh at the time.)

It was such a wonderful experience and gave me the opportunity to capture moments like this that I otherwise never would have.

Ten years later, it’s still one of the most memorable ceremonies I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing.

Amanda + Shawn // July 16, 2022

Some weddings are all about the big moments.
Others remind you that the smallest moments are often the ones you’ll remember forever.

Amanda and Shawn celebrated their marriage in the backyard of their home, surrounded by the people they love most. It was beautiful, personal, and completely true to who they are.

However, my favorite part of the entire day came during their first dance. 🤍

Instead of inviting everyone onto the dance floor, they chose to send everyone inside and keep it just between the two of them.

For a few quiet minutes, the world melted away. No audience. No distractions. Just a husband and wife soaking in the very first moments of their marriage together.

It was such a simple choice, but one I’ll never forget. It truly drove the purpose of the day.

Megan + Brad Perry // July 14, 2012

Fourteen years ago today, I photographed my very first wedding. 🥹

Megan and Brad trusted this brand-new photographer with one of the biggest days of their lives, and I’ll never stop being grateful for that.

Looking back now, I can see how much I’ve grown over the years. My style and equipment has changed a little, and I’ve learned more than I ever could have imagined. Both good and bad.

BUT the reason I do what I do hasn’t changed one bit.

I still get excited watching two people promise forever, and I still feel absolutely honored every time someone trusts me with their memories.

And it all started because of these two.

Happy 14th Anniversary, Megan + Brad! Thank you for believing in me before anyone else did. You’ll always have a special place in the story of JLBoone Photography. 🤍
