15 years married today. 🤍
We’re very clearly in the wedding industry— but even more importantly, we strive to be in the marriage covenant business.
If we’ve learned anything after 15 years of marriage, it’s that marriage is a covenant unlike any other. It’s God’s picture to the world of His love for His bride, the church, and all those who believe on His name.
And after 17 years of shooting weddings, planning alongside and partnering with so many wonderful couples for one specific day, we’ve also learned this:
If everyone planned, prepared, invested in, and protected their actual marriage the way they do their wedding day— there would be a whole lot more couples standing on the dance floor during those anniversary dances we all love so much.
Marriage is a continual commitment to choose the other over yourself.
To serve.
To forgive.
To choose love daily.
Marriage isn’t a 50/50 relationship.
It’s 100/100.
We know that’s not the popular view in today’s world. Selflessness rarely is. But it’s exactly what Jesus showed us when He gave His life for us.
It’s not always sunshine and rainbows. But the longer we’re together- striving to be and do what God has called us to- the sunny days far outweigh the stormy ones.
And after all these years… we’d do it all over again.
Ps. That last photo?

Also yes— I have had every hair color, cut, and style
imaginable. 😅
