I’ve always been someone who feels everything deeply.
For a long time, I saw that as a weakness. I wished I wasn’t so sensitive. I wished I didn’t carry things so heavily. But the older I get, the more I realize that it’s also one of the greatest gifts I bring to my work.
Because when I photograph someone, I don’t just see a pose or a pretty location. I see a story. A season of life. A relationship. A moment that will never exist in exactly the same way again. Whether it’s a growing family, an expecting mother, a couple in love, or a milestone worth remembering, I genuinely care about the people in front of my camera.
I think that’s why photography means so much to me. These aren’t just images. They’re memories that will be hung on walls, tucked into albums, shared with loved ones, and looked back on years from now.
And knowing I get to preserve a small piece of someone’s story will never stop feeling special. So maybe being someone who feels everything deeply isn’t such a bad thing after all. 🤍
