Getting to be dad AND the photographer is a pretty special combination. Had the privilege of taking photos of my son and his girlfriend before their homecoming dance, and I couldn’t be luckier to capture these moments for them. They’re growing up way too fast, and I’m grateful I get to freeze a few of these memories along the way.

Sometimes the moments that mean the most are the ones you never planned to photograph.

A shot of my son as Crutchie in Newsies Jr. at last night’s opening show at Rocklin Community Theater. As a photographer, I love capturing moments like this, but as a dad, this one means so much more.

Spent the weekend in Santa Clara with my son while he auditioned for an independent indoor percussion ensemble. He asked me to bring the camera and capture some of the experience, and as a photographer, I’m always happy to have an excuse to get behind the camera.
