I just love seeing them every year for their shoot- they used to be so little. Now ones engaged, ones a junior in college and ones a senior in high school. Like what? I’m not sure how we got here so fast but they’re all the same awesome people they always have been.

We almost always have some kind of crazy weather for our shoots and unfortunately this year was no exception. It stopped raining and we were all happy but then the wind (omg the wiiiiind) was next level. The blowouts the girls got went right out the window between the flying everywhere and insane humidity. But as per the usual, this gorgeous family made it work and I worked some editing magic to at least make things seem calm. We’re due for a good weather shoot next year!

A full circle kinda shoot. I met this family 20+ years ago, have photographed them intermittently thru those years and now I’m photographing the first grandchild. So crazy! So happy that this family is back in town- they moved far away for a while but ended up coming back in time for Julie to graduate from her original high school with her original friends. I’ve been photographing them forever so I was extra happy to have them back in front of my camera, especially since the kids are living all over the country now. In late June (yes, I’m THAT behind) some of these boys had a pre-pre prom get together to celebrate with their friend group & parents. The rain was intermittent so it was a lot of back and forth inside and outside but it didn’t put a damper on the fun. They were all fun to work with and I hope they had a great time at prom!

Big congratulations to Evan & Lily! We worked hard behind the scenes to make it a special surprise but in a place that has lots of meaning for the couple. And of course, storms were predicted so we were constantly checking the radar and timing. We got super lucky, it poured with thunder & lightning within an hour of finishing our session. Lily was so bouncy and excited and Evan was so happy and also a bit relieved I think. They had their whole family come for the end to celebrate. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Congratulations to Daniela & Joe on their marriage! They had themselves a little mass at their local parish to become husband and wife and will be traveling to Italy for the rest of the wedding celebrations (You best believe I tried offering my photography services for that!) It was a lovely, intimate wedding ceremony. More pics to follow (but sadly not in Italy) so stay tuned.

Happy Sweet 16 x2! These beautiful, smart, kind, twin girls turned 16 and had a super fun party to celebrate. Even though I was only with them for 2 hours, I can safely say these two are going places in life!! Happy birthday Julianna & Olivia!
