At snaphome we think it‘s important you know who you are booking your appointments with, who your talking to on the phone, the owner, behind the scenes, our photographers, and everyone involved in our process! So…Get ready for a MEET THE TEAM!!

First,

Meet RJ Mahurin.

He’s the owner, operator, and CEO of SnapHome Media, which in practice means he still shows up and shoots the houses himself. He lives in Rockville and started the company in 2024, which he did while being a stay-at-home dad to four kids. Nap schedules on one side, camera bodies on the other. It was not a tidy operation.

His wife Shelby is an author, so the house runs on two sets of deadlines and a lot of coffee. He played college basketball, which he’ll tell you mostly means he’s still competitive about things that don’t matter.

He’s an unhealthy Manchester United fan. If he seems like he’s in a bad mood, it’s probably because they lost this week.

He figured out a long time ago that the work itself matters less than how well you do it for the person on the other end. Mowing somebody’s grass, shooting the video for their next listing, it’s the same thing. Serve people well and the rest tends to follow. That’s the whole approach, and it hasn’t changed since the camera bag and the diaper bag were in the same trunk.

He holds us all together and is always giving us his best at any given moment! If you know RJ then you know he works very hard!
