Monday evening was the end of an era. In case you missed it, read my pinned post. This season I only had around 10 sessions. Half of those were booked in the summer. Last year and previous years during this time I had around 40-50 sessions. I discovered while working full time last year and doing photography, that it was too much for me. I have 2 boys involved in sports & a 3rd not far behind, a hubby that travels for work, and my 40 year old body needs my sanity while trying to juggle it all, specifically Motherhood. I remember where I started 10 years ago and where I’m at now. I’ve grown so much & have so much to be proud of. Never in a million years did I think my artistic side would be portrayed from a lens. Remember a picture is that special memory frozen in time. They are so important to have & I’m so glad I’ve gotten to share these memories with you.

PS the glass of wine is always during this season for me, I always went when busy season was over & had a glass of wine at Zanatas, on Monday, I did just that! ❤️

I had a photo session last weekend. My last one was at the end of June! I kinda teeter totter with how I feel, if I'm being honest. But ultimately, it felt really good to be expressing my art through a lens, especially freezing a snippet of a wonderful memory for you.

I have 3 openings left during Thanksgiving break. (yes I opened a couple dates) Don't miss out.

Important Announcement:

I have been thinking of this post for a couple weeks now. It's hard to put into words.

I am finally ready to put the camera away. I have thought about this since the summer and still went back and forth with it. I have prayed a 100's time over, and still get the same answer. It's time. and after many conversations with my husband, I have never felt more at peace than I do now. There is so much more work that goes into just behind the lens. My kids are getting older and before I know it, they will be on their own. It's hard to justify time spent away from them and my husband. Time is valuable friends.

When I started Heather Huddleston Photography almost 10 years ago, I had no idea it would be this 10 years later. I take pride in that. I have enjoyed photographing so many families over the years and it has truly filled my cup to give you these memories to cherish forever.

I have some sessions already booked for this fall season and at this time I am not accepting any new sessions.
