As the first light broke through the clouds, a lone fisherman quietly crossed the lake, surrounded by nothing but golden reflections and morning silence. Rhea county Tennessee.

I'm truly honored, humbled, and incredibly grateful to share that my photo of Sally the Raccoon was selected for a month in this year's Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Wildlife Calendar. Last year I had the stacked turtles in it.

As a small-town country boy from East Tennessee, I never imagined I'd have one of my photos included in a calendar that so many people enjoy each year. It means more to me than I can put into words.

I've had my share of challenges and limitations, but this is a reminder that those don't have to define your future. If you have a dream and you're willing to work hard, keep learning, and refuse to give up, amazing things can happen.

I hope my journey shows that you don't have to come from a big city, have expensive equipment, or have everything figured out to chase your passion. Sometimes all it takes is determination, patience, and believing in yourself (which I have trouble doing sometimes)

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Every like, comment, share, and word of encouragement has helped me continue this journey. I'm incredibly proud to represent Rockwood in East Tennessee and honored to have Sally included in this year's TWRA Wildlife Calendar.

3 hours in the baking summer heat for just 3 seconds of perfection...Behind the lens for this shot: I spent the morning waiting in a vibrant sunflower field, tracking the movement of these brilliant blue birds. Wildlife photography requires serious patience, but the moment this stunning Indigo Bunting perched perfectly on a bright yellow sunflower, the heat was completely forgotten. 👉 Hit follow for daily views into the wild. ❤️

Check this shot out... A Great Blue Heron with his prize, a tasty catch, he threw it up and flipped it so that when he caught it, it was in position to swallow head first.

This cute Black bear cub I photographed in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has something to say.
