More often than not, bo***ir isn't about sexy photos.... It's about choosing yourself in a moment where everything feels like it's falling apart....

"I felt like I was drowning.
2024 wasn't a great year for me. I lost my grandpa at the beginning of the year, lost property that my family built their life on almost 80 years prior, and had to put my 13 year old cat to sleep that May. I almost didn't even submit an application for Angela's model call. I'm so glad I did, though.
Because that's when things started turning around for me.
I did something I had wanted to do for so long.
I wanted to start overcoming my circumstances and my session helped significantly with that.
After my session, I started to live again. I made a couple of friends at work and took a trip to see my brother.
My session really helped me come out of my funk. It helped me finally wake up. "

Shrink your waist. Soften your voice. Tame your hair. Quiet your opinions. From the moment we're young, we are taught that in order to be loved or appreciated we have to change who we are. To soften. To smooth our edges. To make ourselves smaller, quieter, more palatable. To apologize for taking up space, for aging, for wanting more, for feeling deeply.
But that isn't working out for anyone. More than ever women are sad, overworked, exhausted, stressed, lost and lonely.
So what if we stopped all of that?
What if we no longer held back?
What if we didn't tame who we want to be?
I wonder what that sort of world would look like....
I bet it would be pretty fu***ng rad.

I saw another photographer post about couples sessions and I though "AHHH!!! I'm totally jealous I should 100% do a couples model call!!"
But then I remembered that I am booked out until September.... so. I guess we will just have to enjoy these old couples photos instead...

one - compliment someone
even if it's just telling your bestie she is funny or the cashier you like her hair
two - state your opinion out loud
even if it's just saying you want tacos for dinner or if you think something at work can be done more efficiently
three - wear the bold lipstick
or the dress or the shoes, it doesn't matter what or where just do one thing every single day that is unlike your norm
confidence is built through courageous actions
not through running on autopilot
