I began toying with photography when my first daughter was born. As a stay-at-home mom and living off one income we couldn't afford the beautiful newborn pictures I wanted so badly. Knowing how creative I was, my husband bought me a decent camera for Christmas and told me knew I could take just as good pictures as those professional photographers I was following. Initially, I got very discouraged
when my pictures still didn't look like I wanted them to and after some negative feedback from others in the business I almost hung up my camera for good. But, thanks to my friend Kelli Bowman I didn't give up completely. Like me she was a stay at home mom trying to learn how to capture beautiful images of her girls too. As I saw her pictures improving she began to encourage and inspire me to also keep trying! Unfortunately, my recent passion and desire to truly learn how to capture priceless amazing images has been spurred by a recent diagnosis of ALS for my mother. I have really been pushing myself and practicing and growing so that I can capture special and beautiful memories between my mother and her 5 grand children. I want them to have joy filled images to go with their memories of my mom as our family faces this terminal illness. My goal is to be a blessing to others and allowing God's Spirit to move in joy throughout all of life's messiness!
