I won't sugarcoat it... if this evening had been all about baseball, Dylan would have been the first one there and probably 15 minutes early. 😆

But senior pictures? I have a feeling he may have secretly hoped his dad would forget they were on the calendar.

And honestly... that's okay.

Not everyone loves being in front of a camera, and not every senior wants to be smiling ear-to-ear in every photo. The best senior sessions aren't about forcing someone to be something they're not. They're about capturing who they actually are.

We started the evening at De La Salle with baseball photos because that's a huge part of Dylan's story. Then we headed into Detroit and visited two of his favorite places—Ford Field and Comerica Park—to create a session that felt personal and meaningful to him.

Because that's what senior photos should be about.

Whether you're outgoing and love the spotlight or you'd rather be anywhere else than in front of a camera, your session should reflect YOU.

And for the record... even though senior pictures may not be Dylan's thing, he absolutely crushed it. I even managed to sneak a few smiles out of him along the way. 😉

It’s hard to believe these girls have already graduated, and in just a few days I'll be seeing them again for their cap and gown session.

Emma and Nicole invited their friend Marissa to join them for prom pictures, and I couldn't have loved it more. The dresses were colorful, beautiful, and such a perfect reflection of each girl's personality. Seeing their different styles come together made this session so much fun to photograph.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to follow my seniors through all the milestones that make up their final year of high school. From senior photos to prom, best friend sessions, and now cap and gown pictures, I get a front-row seat to so many memories.

This session felt like the perfect celebration of friendship, personality, and everything these girls have accomplished during their senior year.

And now, onto the next chapter.

Kaylee and Misty absolutely understood the assignment.

Seriously... how gorgeous are these two?!

Between the dresses, the laughs, and that dreamy backdrop, everything came together perfectly. Kaylee's moody, romantic dress looked like it was made for this location, and spending the evening with these girls was such a blast.

One thing I never expected when I became a senior photographer is how much I would love following my seniors through all the big moments of senior year. It starts with senior photos, but then there are homecomings, proms, best friend sessions, cap and gown photos, and all those little moments in between that end up meaning so much.

I feel a little like the big sister with a camera, cheering them on, watching their confidence grow, and helping document a year that flies by way too fast.

Because senior year is so much more than senior pictures. It's the friendships, the excitement, the memories, and the people who make this season of life so special.
