about a year ago i had the honor of doing photos and video for this family before dad was deployed. it was the most emotional thing. the boys have watched the video over and over since he left.

today, the honor continued. i got to be there when Cody arrived back home.

you can see it. the anxiousness. the waiting. and finally the run towards the love of her life. ❤️

these all deserved black and white so you can just focus on the emotion behind these.

fewer things have brought the tears quite like witnessing this reunion. and later seeing the boys response to dad coming home.

i've been waiting to hear the news that he was coming home and her text this weekend meant the world. just shy of 365 full days have gone by since he left.

we owe you so many thanks for your service and sacrifice, Cody.

the baby finale of the week, Mr. Miles.

I love coming into your homes where you bring your sweet babies back to. it's authentic and relaxed. where you'll look back on photos one day and reminisce about the sleepless nights and tired eyes. how you didn't think you could love each other more until you bring this precious human into the world.

then it's the sound of little giggles and little feet in the hallway.

so we hang onto these memories of their tiny toes and how they just fit so beautifully in your arms.

the dog loves her. she loves dad(well, and mom, but he did get the smile). they adore her, obv.

i knew these two were some of the funniest humans when i walked in and saw a photo hanging on the wall. so then I naturally asked about it and got shown their JCPenney photoshoot they did and yep. funniest couple I know!

we had the best time shooting miss Frannie’s photos and i'm secretly hoping I get to see them again.

Edit: I typed Winnie as I was making this post and talking about my dog at the same time. Her name is Frannie, not Winnie. Shes a cute human. I’m fired. And should go to bed.

3 newborn shoots this weekend means your feed this week will be filled with squishy cheeks, tiny baby toes, and SO MUCH NEW BABY LOVE.

today's star is Hustyn. he has the chunkiest little cheeks and i'm pretty sure I asked his mom and dad 5 times if I could just keep him.

it's no wonder they said no.

the last time i photographed this crew when was sweet miss Angel was a newborn. TIME FLIES.

i've never met a more laid back and not worried about a thing baby in my whole life. she wasn't real interested in having her photo taken much but we still got some sweet shots. & of course great family photos!

she is, without a doubt, never short of needing attention with the 4 best older siblings that just dote on her. 🩷
