I’m not sure if this is new or not but it’s new to me so thought I would share! You can now add photos you have been tagged in to your grid. Just go to your tagged photos, long hold the post you are tagged in and it’s that simple. I also rearranged to move this closer to the top of my feed.

Visiting 30A for fall break (or anytime really). Here are some quick tips to transition to fall (and holiday cards )
1) throw in some warm, rich colors. I know these colors are not typically what you might think of when you think of traditional beach colors but they photograph beautifully.
2) long dresses (and as it starts to get cooler, add layers of sweaters to add texture and a cozy vibe. Although it’s true that I always prefer long dresses because I love the movement of a longer dress, it also creates a timeless feel where it could be any season or temperature.
3) plan to start up in the dunes. Again, if you have shot with us or been here a while, you know I ALWAYS start in the dunes, but this time of year I really love the warms and pop of yellow/green that this adds.
(And before anyone jumps on me here…let me just confirm that I am not IN THE DUNES. The dunes are protected here in the Florida Panhandle so I am actually in a flat open walkway IN FRONT of some tall dune grass. I am not actually in a dune)

Just over here wrapping up Summer galleries and grateful for all of the amazing families who trusted us to capture this fleeting time in life. All the little sandy hands and salty kisses will forever be written on my heart.

CALM DOWN ITS STILL SUMMER
Ha ha we kept seeing signs in front of of stores in the Hamptons last week…so funny…everyone at all the beaches still in Summer mode and not ready for fall. In reality we did make it through our crazy crazy Summer shooting schedule and have enjoyed a couple slower weeks before we hit the ground running next week for fall sessions and travel.
This sweet family we had a little day trip over to Cape San Blas (about 2 hours from 30A) and found the best light in the cutest little cove on the bay side to start and then ran over to the beach h side the last few minutes at sunset. Do much fun shooting new locations!

Want to know what 30 minutes on the beach with us looks like? Here is a sample of a family of 4 and how we capture all the magic. We met about 20 minutes early at our studio space full off beautiful outfits to dress the whole family. Located right on 30A. Then we walked across the street and had so much fun with this beautiful family. Sessions with us are fun but also deliberate in our workflow and transitions to get the most done in the shortest amount of time. We move a lot and play a lot. We also direct and encourage with promote and games and leave room for the connection to unfold.
All of these images were taken on a SonyA7RIV and a 35 mm lens. Feel free to ask any questions and let me know if you would like to see more posts like these!

SENIOR SUNDAY

Can’t believe it’s time for a whole new Class of “Senior Sundays”. I love that summer beach pictures are one of the very first “senior year” things that happens. Such a special way to get it started! Texas has been showing up big time! I think I have already done about 15 seniors all in school in TX! Texas girls love some Florida beaches!
