Back in 2022, I photographed their wedding day… and now here we are capturing slow moments at home with their sweet little boy in the house they’ve completely made their own. Newly remodeled, filled with love, and now filled with tiny footsteps too.

There’s something so meaningful about getting to witness these seasons of life for my couples beyond the wedding day. From “just married” to building a home and growing a family… these are definitely the moments that matter most and hold a special place in my heart.

I truly believe some moments feel even more powerful without color....

Sometimes, when you strip the color from a photo, what’s left is emotion. The light. The quiet in-between moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Black and white has a way of slowing everything down. It pulls you in and makes you feel instead of just see.

It’s timeless. It doesn’t follow trends or seasons. Years from now, these images will feel just as powerful as the day they were taken.

The way a hand is held a little tighter.
The softness in a glance.
The laughter that lives in a moment, not distracted by all the colors around it.

Black and white doesn’t take anything away. Sometimes, it reveals and intensifies what matters most in that moment.

Personal vows don’t always have to happen during the ceremony, and they don’t have to include a first look to be meaningful.

There’s something really special about sharing your vows privately, before everything begins, without seeing each other. Standing back-to-back, around a corner, or even just holding hands through a door… you still get that quiet, intimate moment without giving away the aisle moment.

It takes the pressure off, lets you be fully present, and gives you space to actually feel what you’re saying and hearing, without a crowd watching.

And then, when you do see each other for the first time walking down the aisle… it still feels just as powerful. If anything, maybe even more.
