Several years ago, Jane and I were members of the Washington Printmakers Gallery in Georgetown DC. They have a National Small Works show which members are not permitted to enter that has wonderful works from across the nation. I learned printmaking from WPG members and submitted a work of my own and am honored to be included in the show with my work: Underground Railroad. In spite of what a best-selling novel says, the underground railroad was really a secret network of routes, safe houses and hiding places used by run-away refugees to find freedom.
