When I’m finishing up a gallery, sometimes I like to play around with a few images in black & white.

Mom’s vision for her maternity session was dark, romantic, and moody, so it only felt fitting. And I have to say…these were MADE for black & white.

Deep blacks, soft light, moody shadows, and all the emotion. Exactly the vibe. šŸ–¤

I’ve been a little MIA lately. I’ve been really sick for almost two weeks, which put me wayyy behind on editing. Add in mom life, homeschool life, football mom life and ya girl is TIRED.

But I’m slowly catching up and finally getting to share some of the sweetness I’ve been working on.

This little beauty was already 2 months old for her newborn session. A little reminder that your baby does not have to be 7–14 days old to have beautiful newborn photos. Sessions may look a little different with an older baby, but just as sweet.

Also, September is officially FULLY BOOKED. Please don’t ask me to squeeze you in because apparently I don’t know how to say no. šŸ˜¬šŸ˜‚ I am protecting myself from myself at this point.

Now back to my editing cave I go. šŸ« šŸ“ø

If you know me, you know I LOVE that dreamy evening golden hour light. So when it comes to bright, harsh morning light… I usually get a little nervous and shy away from it.

But for this session, I decided to embrace it.

Mom wanted something light, candid, fun, and documentary, less posing, more connection, movement, and letting their little girl just be herself.

The bright sun, the haze, the movement, the grain, the imperfect little moments, it all came together in a way that feels so warm, nostalgic, and real.

Maybe morning light and I can be friends after all.

Client: I want a dark, romantic, moody maternity vibe!
Me: Say no more. I got you!

And here’s a little secret: you don’t need to spend a ton of money on an expensive maternity gown to create something dramatic.

I love using yards of chiffon fabric and wrapping, draping, and tossing it in different ways to completely transform the look. One simple piece of fabric can give us so many different looks from soft and romantic to bold, flowing, and dramatic.

Give me some fabric, beautiful golden-hour light, and a little creativity and we’ll make magic. šŸ–¤

Had to take a little break from editing because this moment deserved its own post. 🄹

There’s just something about a silhouette the way it strips everything away and leaves only the love, the connection, and the story.

Mom and Dad, lost in their own little moment while their boy sits quietly in the boat, witnessing the love that created his little world.

It gives me all the Notebook feels like a scene straight out of a movie, only this time, their son gets to be part of the story.

One day he’ll look back and see not only how deeply he was loved, but how deeply his parents loved each other.

Some moments don’t need to show every detail to tell the whole story.

Happy World Photography Day šŸ“øšŸ¤Ž

On August 19, 1839, photography was introduced to the world in a way that would forever change how we preserve history and remember the people we love.

Nearly 200 years later, that is still what makes photography so powerful.

Photographs become proof that we were here. That we loved, laughed, grew, and lived. They remind us how tiny our babies once were, how our children fit in our arms, how our parents and grandparents looked at us, and how quickly the seasons of life passed.

As a photographer, I know I’m not just creating an image for today. I’m preserving a piece of someone’s story that may become priceless years from now.

Over the years, I’ve been trusted to photograph so many chapters of life IVF journeys, years of waiting and praying for a baby, growing bellies, tiny newborns finally in their parents’ arms, childhood, growing families, love, marriage, milestones, and everything in between.

Every photograph carries a story behind it, and sometimes that story is so much bigger than what you can see in the image.

Thank you to every person and family who has allowed me to be a part of your story and trusted me to help share it. It is an honor I will never take for granted.

Cameras will change. Styles will change. But the importance of preserving the people we love and the stories that brought us here never will.

That’s why photography matters. And I’m incredibly grateful that I get to be the one behind the camera, freezing a little piece of time. šŸ“øšŸ¤Ž

Love brother’s energy. šŸ¤£šŸ¤Ž He is clearly VERY excited about his new baby sister!

Such a sweet little family. I absolutely love capturing moments like this three siblings, three completely different personalities, all in one photo. Big brother bringing the energy, big sister giving all the sweetness, and baby just taking it all in. 🄹

This is what I love about lifestyle newborn sessions the perfectly imperfect moments that tell the real story of your family. šŸ¤

She didn’t wait for the storm to pass. She learned how to bloom in it.

Rooted in faith. Grounded in purpose. Proud of where she comes from and becoming everything God has called her to be.

This session was extra special to me because the beautiful woman in front of my camera is also my sister-in-law. I’m so grateful that I get to use what I love to capture a little bit of the beauty that can come from the storms we walk through.

Her podcast, The Fearless Mujer Podcast, is a reflection of that journey a space for real conversations about faith, purpose, culture, womanhood, the storms we face, and the beauty God can create through it all.

So when we dreamed up these photos, I didn’t just want to create pretty pictures for a podcast. I wanted them to tell her story. The strength, the joy, the culture, the faith, and the woman emerging on the other side of every storm.

Hermosa Vida. A beautiful life not because it’s perfect, but because there’s purpose in every chapter.

And I couldn’t be more grateful that I get to be the one behind the camera capturing a little piece of it. šŸ“ø

Surrounded by the family and friends who have witnessed their story, these two celebrated ten years of marriage with the sweetest intimate vow renewal.

But what got me most was watching them dance with their children. Because ten years ago, it was just the two of them making a promise to one another. And now, standing beside them, are these beautiful little lives that grew from that love.

Marriage isn’t only found in the big moments. It’s in ten years of ordinary days. Growing together. Raising babies. Laughing, changing, holding on through the hard seasons and continuing to choose one another through all of it.

And now their children get to grow up knowing what it looks like to watch Mom and Dad say, ā€œI still choose you.ā€

What a beautiful thing it is to photograph a love story that didn’t end at ā€œI do.ā€
It became a family.

Forget ā€œsay cheese.ā€ Let’s play instead. šŸ’¦

The best family photos aren’t created by asking everyone to smile at the camera.

They’re created when kids are running through the grass, everyone gets soaked, and the laughter is real.

These aren’t about perfect poses. They’re about remembering what a summer evening felt like the wet hair, the squeals, the hugs, and the joy of simply being together.

ā˜€ļø Summer Splash Sessions are here! Available throughout August and September (weather permitting).

If you’ve been putting off family photos because you’re worried your kids won’t cooperate, these sessions are for you. Come play, laugh, get a little wet, and leave with memories you’ll never forget.
