You have a LOT of choices when searching for a South Florida family photographer. So why book me?

“Getting one of me and my husband would just be a bonus.”

She had just welcomed her third baby boy.
When I walked in, she told me the boys were dressed and ready—but she didn’t have any makeup on yet. She wasn’t worried about herself. She was making sure everyone else was taken care of first.

And isn’t that motherhood?
You’re thinking about the baby. The older boys. What everyone is wearing. Whether everyone is ready. Whether we got the shot.
And somewhere in there, a photograph of you becomes the “bonus.”
But this?
This isn’t the bonus.
This is the story.

The way she looks at the third little boy who made their family what it is today. The way he fits against her. The quiet in her own home after all the preparation and all the noise.
Someday her boys will look at these photographs and they won’t care whether Mom had her makeup done.
They’ll see her.

And that is exactly why I photograph motherhood the way I do.
Palm Beach newborn photography isn’t just about documenting how tiny your baby was. It’s about preserving the mother you were in that season, too.

Tomorrow is chapter 9/12.

September always feels like the beginning of the ending.
The light starts changing. The calendar starts filling. The year suddenly feels like it’s moving faster than I’m ready for.
And somewhere in between school mornings, busy schedules, work, sessions, and everything else life throws at us… this is us right now.

Not perfectly posed. Not waiting for life to slow down. Just loving each other in the middle of it.
Nine chapters down. Three to go.
And if this year has taught me anything, it’s that the ordinary days we rush through are usually the ones we’ll wish we could have back.

So here’s to September.
To holding them a little tighter.
To getting in the photos.

To documenting the season you’re actually in.

Your home doesn’t have to be Pinterest-perfect for your newborn photos. It just has to be yours.

The nursery you spent months putting together.
The big sisters who cannot stop kissing their new baby.
The little details you chose before you ever knew exactly what his face would look like.
The crib. The name on the wall. The tiny fingers. The stuffed animals that will eventually become favorites.

That’s why I love photographing newborns at home.
We’re not trying to make your life look like someone else’s. We’re documenting what your life looked like when your baby was this small — because one day, even this nursery will look completely different.

And yes, we’ll get the beautiful portraits of your baby. But we’ll also photograph the things you didn’t realize you were going to miss.

Rainy afternoons always have me thinking about golden hour. ✨

The thing about chasing that perfect light? Sometimes Mother Nature makes us wait.

We postponed this session because I knew the sky we had that day wasn’t going to give this family the experience—or the final gallery—I had envisioned for them. And when we finally got our evening?

This. This is why we wait.

Golden light. Warm skin. Kids being kids. That dreamy Florida sky doing exactly what I knew it could do.
Rescheduling isn’t an inconvenience when the goal is creating something you’ll hang on your walls for years. Sometimes the best part of a golden hour session is knowing when not to shoot.

And we sure made the right call with this one. 🤎

Newborn sessions are different for me.

I don’t just want you to see what this season looked like.
I want you to feel the details.
The way their entire hand wrapped around one of your fingers.
The flaky newborn skin. The tiny toes. The milk-drunk lips.
The way they curled into your chest like that was the only place in the world they belonged.

The way your home felt quieter and louder all at once.
Because one day, you’ll remember that they were this small—but you won’t remember how small.
That’s what I’m photographing.

Not just the baby. Not just the family portrait. Not a checklist of poses.
The evidence of a season that disappears almost as quickly as it arrives.
When you open your newborn gallery years from now, I want you to remember what their hair smelled like. How heavy they felt sleeping on your chest. How impossibly tiny they looked in your arms.

I want the photographs to bring you all the way back.
That’s why newborn sessions will always be something else for me.
