In my opinion, my client photo sessions should ever look exactly the same. Authenticity is super important to me. And so "seeing" the nuances of the woman I am working with. I value individuality massively. And here are some of the ways I ensure your session is uniquely YOURS. The artwork you see yourself in and that grabs you by your heartstrings.

Before I ever pick up my camera, I am reading the room. From our earliest conversations to shoot day...It's what I think of as my "art of noticing".
I'm always paying attention to:

1. The features you love (or are learning to love). Maybe it's your collarbones, the curve of your back, your eyes, hands, the way you laugh. I build images around what I observe is you feeling most like your sensual self. And yes, it is totally normal to need help "getting there" to yourself.

2. Your personality and comfort level. Some clients want to belly-laugh through the whole session; others want it slow and quiet. I become your soul chameleon...match the posing, pacing, and energy to wherever you are — never the other way around.

3. The "why" behind your session. When I understand your goals...A gift for a partner, a milestone birthday, the end of one chapter... or simply "I finally did something for me." Your reason shapes the mood, the wardrobe, and the story we tell.

4. What you bring with you. Your wardrobe speaks to me even if you don't say it. If there's a favorite piece, his old shirt, the heirloom jewelry, the focus on a tattoo, the shoes that feel like you own planet earth. It's the details you choose that say so much to me— and translate their unspoken language and know how to weave them in.

5. Your relationship with your body and with intimacy. This is the big one. Where you are with feeling at home in your own skin guides everything — how we start, how we build trust, and which images we reach for first. It also tells me where to help you learn to appreciate YOURSELF better.

The bridal bou'dr shoot is such a great gift for my fiancé and also for myself. My whole experience with Cate was just amazing. Do you find wedding planning fun ... or stressful ? One of the things I notice with so many brides is how quickly the months leading up to the wedding can start to feel like a whirlwind. Sometimes even overwhelming.

There are so many decisions to make, so many moving parts, and often a quiet pressure to make everything perfect for everyone involved. It’s exciting, of course, but it can also be a lot to carry at once.

That’s one of the reasons I love photographing bridal bo***ir sessions. The experience ends up becoming something very different than most brides expect.
Yes, the photographs are beautiful ...and many women love surprising their partner with an album on the wedding day.

But what surprises women the most is how the session itself feels.

For a few hours, the life pace slows down. You’re not answering questions, appeasing in laws, or coordinating plans.

Instead, you're being taken care of — by our hair and makeup experts, a relaxed atmosphere, music playing, Italian Prosecco flowing, and gentle guidance so you never have to wonder what to do in front of the camera.

Many brides tell me afterward that it felt like a little pocket of calm in the middle of wedding planning. A day where they could relax, laugh, and reconnect with themselves before everything becomes about the timeline of the wedding weekend.

"I'm so nervous"... is often the phrase I hear most leading up to the clients' photo shoot day. And i have to laugh to myself, because in reality ... this is the actual vibe here. 🤣

She was just taking a breather in between posing sets. But literally, this is how relaxed we do. 🤣

Why ? Because I understand that this is a very new/vulnerable experience for many. Im experienced to know what nerves do and what they inhibit. So I intentionally keep an environment that's conducive to you feeling comfortable, at ease, completely yourself. Those create the perfect conditions to feel safe to step outside the comfort zone. (And as you can see, it's comfort zone lol)
That's how we make beautiful art.

The story behind this scene ...
My gorgeous client was celebrating a milestone birthday. This was a special gift to herself especially for a woman who's been used to making tough decisions and rarely treating herself. This was her day to chose HER and honor her in exactly the way that felt right. We created a mystically-charged vintage vibe intimate shoot based on feminine power themes. All inspired by the ancient art of the tarot. I was so happy she honored herself and made it a birthday to remember.

Softness. Low pressure enjoyment. A spa day for the soul
