I’m surprising myself a little bit here, and I’m letting something go. Something I’ve always struggled with, especially when it brings me happiness.

With four young kids under eight, their growing schedules, a successful chocolate business that I want to pour my whole heart into, and realizing how precious time really is, something has got to give. So I have decided to say goodbye to photography for a little while. This has not been an easy decision, and I kept telling myself that I would find a way to continue on with it, but when push comes to shove, I realize that I have to let it go for the time being. It’s not really the act of taking photos that I’m going to miss, but it’s how many new friendships I made throughout this process. Photography has brought me so close to some of you, that I never would have crossed paths with otherwise, and I don’t take that lightly. I hope to continue those relationships and cheer you on in your lives.

A month ago I had the pleasure of photographing one of my childhood best friends get married. I don’t say this lightly when I say… I think this may have been the best wedding I’ve ever been to. The bride told me over and over how much she, “doesn’t care about photos” and to just, “focus on the memories.” 😍 Candids are where I thrive and I love taking photos that tell a story of the day… and a day was HAD at this wedding. From love and emotion, to a live band where the groom actually sung several songs. Ugh! I could relive this day over and over again. Thank you for allowing me to capture this day for you. May you have a marriage as beautiful as your wedding 🤍 & , you’re hired for my next party 🤣.

What a gift and blessing this boy is. I knew I was having him before I even knew I was having him. He is the one and only time I have ever been spoken to and it’s something I will forever be grateful for. The feeling of complete peace knowing he was coming, when I thought I knew I was absolutely done. He is beyond loved and cared for by all his moms (aka his sisters) and we all couldn’t love him more. 🤍

I’m not sure what’s going on this morning, but today I’m really “in my feels.” I’m currently sitting here on the couch snuggling my not so little baby, and I’m realizing just how big he is. I’m also realizing how his snuggles and his clingy-ness is already fading. At times I thought those days would never end (I mean, he really never stopped touching me), but I’m realizing my baby boy is starting to become independent and more like a toddler than a baby and I don’t think I’m ready 😭. Hold those babies you guys -it goes so quick. And if you ever need a break, which I totally get, bring them to me. I will gladly hold them for you so you can do what you need. 🤍🥲

🪻Motherhood Minis🪻

I was talking to one of best friends the other day and she said, “Children feel love from Dad through play, and they feel love from Mom through touch/cuddling/etc.” And right there I had such an eye opening realization of how accurate that is for my own family.

So with that being said, I’m starting to plan out my first ever Motherhood Minis. Often times us Moms (& Grandmas) are the ones taking all the photos and making sure all the memories are captured. So this year I want to make sure you’re able to get in the photos and be captured with just you and your babies. A Mother’s love is so special and it should be documented. I don’t have all the details planned out, but I’m thinking these will take place some time in April. If this is something you’d be interested in, leave a comment below or go comment in my stories.
