There’s something pretty incredible about having the time to really explore the redwoods on your elopement day.

K + K hiked through the towering trees, shared their private ceremony, and took their time soaking in the quiet of the forest.

No rushing to the next location. Just plenty of time to be together and enjoy where they were.

This is exactly why I love longer elopement coverage. You have the freedom to slow down and actually experience the places you came all this way to see.

This was the most perfect elopement day in Yosemite! 🤍

Soli + Carrick started their morning with a private first look surrounded by gorgeous views of Yosemite Valley, followed by exchanging their vows with just the two of them.

Afterward, they met up with their family at Cathedral Beach for an intimate ceremony beneath El Cap. Soli’s mom played the violin as they walked into their ceremony together, and their family surprised them with an old favorite song that everyone sang together. It was such a sweet and personal moment!

After the ceremony, we took family photos and spent some time enjoying the beach before everyone gathered for the most beautiful gourmet picnic feast.

Rain had been in the forecast all day, but somehow it held out for us! We originally planned to hike Taft Point later that afternoon, but decided to pivot and slow things down instead. They explored the valley, played in the meadows, and soaked in the final views of the day at Valley View. The sun even peeked through a few times for us!

And because an elopement day can be both incredibly beautiful and wonderfully simple, Soli + Carrick ended the evening back with their family over pizza at Curry Village. 🍕

Their day was the perfect blend of family, adventure, and quiet moments that belonged just to the two of them. It was such an honor to help them plan and document an experience that felt completely their own.

Yosemite is such a magical place to celebrate love, life, and the beginning of a new adventure together. 🤍

One of the best parts of a full-day Yosemite elopement is having time to actually experience the park and create space for your intimate moments.

N + N started their day getting ready in their cabin at The Ahwahnee Hotel, then headed out for a first look along the river before saying their vows beneath the falls.

From there, we had the whole day to explore. They hiked through the park, stopped for a picnic at their favorite beach, had a very competitive snowball fight, and ended the evening watching the sunset over the valley. There was never a need to rush from one thing to the next, which gave them space to enjoy each part of their day.

N + N’s elopement was in mid-March. This was a beautiful, quiet time in the park. We were ready for snow, had backup plans if needed, and knew the day would be perfect; however, the weather decided to show.

If you’re dreaming of a Yosemite elopement that feels more like an adventure than a schedule of events, full-day coverage gives you so much room to make it your own.

Your elopement timeline should give you room to enjoy your day, not make you feel like you’re racing from one thing to the next.

When I help couples build their timelines, I always want to make sure we’re accounting for the things that don’t show up on an itinerary: time to stop for a snack, change shoes, take in a view, have a private moment, or simply enjoy being married.

That’s why I love split-day and multi-day timelines for couples who want to fit a lot into their experience. You don’t necessarily need to cut things out. Sometimes you just need more time.

Swipe through for a few ways to structure your elopement timeline, and save this for when you start planning yours.

There’s something pretty special about having Yosemite almost to yourselves.

A + J started their elopement day at Glacier Point before sunrise, watching the stars fade as the first light came over the mountains.

Early mornings aren’t for everyone, but if you’re willing to set that alarm, sunrise can mean fewer people, cooler temperatures, and some pretty incredible light for your Yosemite elopement.

And honestly, waking up early on your wedding day feels a lot easier when this is the view waiting for you!

Save this for your Yosemite elopement planning, and if you’re dreaming of a sunrise adventure of your own, I’d love to help you plan it. Get in touch through the link in my bio!

One of the questions I get asked most often is, “Do we need a permit to elope?”

The answer depends entirely on where you’re getting married.

Every location has its own rules for permits, guest counts, ceremony locations, and marriage licenses, which can feel overwhelming when you’re just starting to plan.

The good news? You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Helping couples navigate the logistics is a huge part of what I do. From permits and marriage licenses to choosing locations that fit your vision, I’ll help you understand exactly what you need so you can spend less time researching and more time getting excited.

Swipe through for a quick overview, and save this post for later if an adventure elopement is in your future!
