Poor Benji the turkey is in critical condition. She is currently in an oxygen chamber at an emergency veterinary hospital. Our veterinarian and animal care team are not sure what is wrong, aside from obvious joint issues and some kind of cardiovascular or respiratory distress. Her bill is currently at $2,500. Please keep Benji in your thoughts and support her bill if you can.

“A homeless man risked his life to save several cats and dogs trapped at an Atlanta animal shelter after it caught fire, the facility’s founder said.”

This story is an example of how broken our system is. The fact that there are people unhoused and that shelters exist is so upsetting. Animals and humans are both discarded and forgotten. Our society needs to do better, take care of eachother. Grateful for this man. Hope the community will do right by him.

Three barns containing three groups of roughly 60,000-80,000 chickens burned down in the Dade City, Florida blaze, which was reported to authorities shortly after midnight Thursday.”

Not sure what’s worse being raised to be enslaved for years and then discarded when no longer needed or..... to being suffocated and engulfed by flames. Are vegans really winning? How much change is happening? Why are we continuing to breed animals during a pandemic or ever?!!
