Snowy in BW
With the California State fair working to get back in action, I'm trying to think of images that may be worth submitting. This one did well in the local county fair, earned me a 1st all around in the BW category.

To date, I have yet to have anything accepted to the state fair. Who knows if I'll have anything accepted this year, but it would be nice. lol

End of the Week
Bit of a crazy week, but like this shot, some bright spots.

From my recent trip to the Monterey area. I went south toward Big Sur one of the days to see the Bixby Bridge. The rest of that day, I kept thinking... it might look cool with light trails!

So two days later I went back to see if I could get the shot.
Two basic major challenges...
1) No other light sources around... anywhere... 😅
2) Not a lot of traffic on Hwy 1 after hours... 🤦‍♂️

Took a while to get even one shot that got trails on the entire visible road from the vantage point I had. An interesting challenge, but a lot of fun to try.

Hidden Falls Hiking
Some quick shots from the weekend, hiking around Hidden Falls with a wonderful group!

We got sun! We got Rain! And about everything in between! lol But it was a truly wonderful day!

Coastal Hwy 1
There is no way to not love the Big Sur area along Hwy 1. Views like this just draw you in. I was moving around this spot for very long time, just watching waves and looking for nice angles. This spot turned into my favorite with the view of waves crashing between the rocks and rolling over the beach.

Be the bright spot in someone's day
I spent a little time checking for any new blooms at McKinley Park. A bit early yet, but there were some beautiful early flowers.

This type of view has always caught my eye. Flowers fall from the trees and sometimes land perfectly. The one bright spot sits quietly, but boldly makes itself known.

No flowers were harmed in the making of this image, but a couple may have been arranged. ;)

I was looking back through some images and found this one that I had never touched. Soooo many images... sooooo little time... lol

This was early morning at Land Park in the Rock Garden. This little black phoebe was enjoying the view from a raised sprinkler head, as well as the water that was pooled on top of it.

Follow up to yesterday's speed editing video. This is the final image. In reality this was a fairly quick, easy edit. The raw image was solid thanks to lovely morning light and the hawk politely sitting to pose for a while. Always very much appreciated when they do. Then I don't feel rushed. lol
