Worms may not be the most cuddly creatures, but they certainly are some of the most important ones we've got here in California.

How and why, you ask? Come visit us tomorrow to find out!

In conjunction with our new "Harvest Time" exhibit, we're having speakers and presenters come every weekend to talk about interesting and innovative things happening on California farms and in our powerhouse agriculture industry.

Sarah Haupt, an engineer with Davis-based ag company BioFiltro, is our guest on Saturday, from 11 am to 1 pm, talking about the importance of worms to California ag -- and she's bringing a whole bunch of live worms, worm cocoons and Gummy Worms with her! While our young visitors can search for the worms as they crawl through their living space, Sarah can also explain how her company is using the terrestrial invertebrates in its "worm-powered wastewater solutions."

Some new photographs taken of these two beautiful best friends... I love capturing the human connection as well as emotions. These girls didn't take anything too seriously, and I tried my best to capture just that. Just feel a little laugh in my belly every time I look at these! :)

My dear, beautiful friend, Jessica, let me photograph her early last year. This was right when the pandemic started in February/March, so we did everything indoors! More of Jessica to come, but this is what I have so far... Let her smile, jewelry, style and playfulness shine through! :)
