I never thought I would make a post like this on my photog page, but I'm trying to build a brand that accurately represents me. I don't tolerate any type of bullying, and photographers are no exception!
I am fully aware that my photography and editing style is not everyone's cup of tea and that's exactly how it should be. Some people prefer light and airy or true to color, I however, prefer dark, moody, and colorful. I myself am a dramatic person and I want my art to represent that. Everyone takes photos on their phones, when my clients book with me, I want them to know they will be receiving a dramatic, moody, and colorful gallery they can't get just any given day.
Yes, I'm also aware that the 'dreamy vintage' style has a " hazy' look... That's the point. I however do not think it makes me look like a "cheap" or "lazy" photographer. The clients who have received those images LOVED them, they also have my original editing in their gallery as well. By adding that style to my galleries I'm offering an opportunity to receive images that are different from your "normal" photos. I personally don't see any gain a photographer receives by putting down another photographers work and personal it's a huge red flag for clients and is beyond distasteful.
I'm working so hard to create a community full of confident women and mommas! A community where everyone feels safe! I absolutely will block anyone who has anything negative to say about my work or clientele, photographers included.
