This is the other area to see Green Sea Turtle at Fort Matanzas Park- 09.09.26
It’s the river side of the Salt Marsh Trail. It can be accessed by the north side of the park OR by hiking the intertidal zone of matanzas inlet (lower tides suggested).
The sea turtle hang out by the jetties to eat at the oyster formations alongside them. They look for broken clams, they scoot around the river bank, and… well I didn’t know they hung out in little groups and interacted with each other until a couple of weeks ago? So I have to look up if it was socializing or happenstance.
All of matanzas inlet is “the sea turtle spot”, it’s just broken up into walkable stretches, like matanzas inlet river side to fort matanzas park-
