I had the best time celebrating Josh and Tessa with their family and friends. We were lucky enough to have a short window when it wasn't pouring rain, but I'd say we made the most of it. 🥰

I grew up with Tessa, so it was incredibly special to photograph these two for their engagement session. From playing volleyball together to growing up and getting married - life changes so quickly! I'm so happy for Josh and Tessa and can't wait to see what the future holds for them. 🥰

I want to share something that has been weighing heavily on my heart lately.

Ever since becoming a mom almost two years ago, my perspective on a lot of things changed, as I’m sure any parent can relate. My main job as a mother is to protect my child, and my mom instincts have changed how I handle my business as well.

One thing I don’t see many people talking about is online safety. It’s pretty common for anyone to openly share their lives and photos online. As parents, we have chosen to not share photos of our son online, for several reasons. With many new scary stories I’ve read lately it confirms our decision and why we feel this is best for our family.

This is a tricky subject considering I’m a photographer and share photos to market my business. I respect anyones decision to share or not share online. I want my clients to know that their privacy and safety is my top priority, especially when it comes to your children.

I always make sure you are comfortable with me posting any images. If you choose to have a sneak peek I ask you permission before sharing specific images, and I will always keep photos 100% private if you request it.

When it comes to sharing images, I never really thought much of it before, if I’m being honest. I was naive and wasn’t aware of specific dangers of online sharing. However I am now very strategic with the images I post. I share mostly full family photos vs babies or children by themselves, for instance.

For years I have blocked hundreds of accounts from following my page that seemed weird or gave me obvious red flags. I try to keep it as safe as possible while having a public business account.

All of this to say, please know that online safety is very important to me. My main goal is to give my clients an incredible experience and leaving them with images they want to hang all over their home. Sharing or not sharing images online is your decision to make, and I will respect your decision either way.

If I have shared photos of you or your family in the past and you’d like me to remove them for any reason, please just send me a message!

I've been really quiet on here because - we moved! I am now located in St. Elmo, IL. We are happy to be back in the area and have been getting settled into our new home.

After a crazy few months, I'm excited to accept sessions again. I will have very limited availability, so please reach out asap if you're interested in booking a session! I'll still be traveling to Edwardsville for sessions, however, my new default photo locations will all be in the Fayette County area.

I photographed the sweet family below last October and never got around to posting their session. Late October is the absolute best time for fall colors. I can't wait to photograph more adorable families so soon!

I had the best time with Kyrstyn and Devin during their engagement session. I'm so happy the spring trees were still in bloom for their portraits!

I've known Kyrstyn for most of my life. I believe we first met when we were playing little league softball together. Kyrstyn is one of the kindest people I know, and I'm so happy she found Devin!

Kyrstyn has always dreamed of going to New York City around Christmas time. Not only did they visit NYC this past New Year, but that is where Devin proposed! And can we talk about the custom designed ring? Because 😍 I'm so happy for these two and can't wait to share more from their session!

Kate is turning one! Another adorable first birthday session with the Deadmond family. I've photographed them several times over the years, and it's been so fun watching their family grow. Can you even handle the pigtails? 🥹

Kennedy is graduating from McKendree University this spring. Kennedy was a past high school senior client of mine. I can't believe she is now graduating from college! She is a member of Tau Sigma Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society on campus.

She majored in elementary education, and I know she will be the best teacher! Her adorable dress was decorated by her student-teaching students. She wanted to include them in her session because they are so special to her. Her future class is so lucky to have her as their teacher!❤️️

This precious baby girl was just eight days old when I got to meet her and take her newborn photos. It was a cloudy and rainy day, but we made the most of it with all of the baby snuggles. What is better than snuggling a newborn baby? I'd argue that there is nothing better 😉

I'm so happy for the new parents who were on cloud nine the entire time. Nothing sweeter than the first few weeks 🥰

Graduation will be here before you know it! Grad sessions are the perfect way to celebrate graduating from high school, and especially college!

These can be full sessions that take place at your school or campus, or we can book a spring mini for your grad session. It's a great reason to get updated photos of yourself with the gorgeous spring flowers.

Grad sessions include photos with and without your cap and gown, so know that they don't all have to include your gown. Every session is customized for each grad.

We had the park to ourselves for Derek and Deidre's maternity portraits. That is one perk of having a winter session in 30° weather. 😉

I've known Deidre my whole life, so it was incredibly special to capture these maternity photos for her and Derek. I can't wait to see them again, and meet their precious baby, soon at their newborn session! ❤️️
