Sneak peek: Maddie looked absolutely stunning for her senior session, as you can see! Her blonde tresses and bronzed skin made it feel like the perfect summer session. All that was missing was some water! We wrapped this session with some shots of Maddie with her mom and dad, and holy cow, genetics! She looks just like her mama! Anyone else have kids who look just like them?

Craziness! We wish Maddie the best senior year and look forward to seeing where her nursing journey takes her. :)

Sneak Peek: Chanicke

It's been a bit since we captured this session with Chanicke as we have been swamped with moving and selling our home and getting settled in a new town, but it was so much fun to sit back down at the computer and put the edit together for this sweet gal! Wishing you the very best senior year, and looking forward to a couple more mini sessions throughout the year! Woohoo! Keep an eye out for Chanicke's session with her horse, coming this fall. :) (Our last session with a horse was a bride riding in on one for her wedding ceremony. Can you say dreamy?)

Sneak peek: Dylann and Regina requested our moody edit and "enchanted forest" vibes. Kansas delivered surprisingly well! Dancing barefoot on a nature trail for the win. Actually, Regina walked barefoot for the entire session after I asked if she was willing to take her shoes off for a shot. We so enjoyed our time with these two childhood friends turned sweethearts who grew up competing against one another in Taekwondo.

Sneak peek: Schultz extended family session. Check out those awesome clouds in these pictures! This was by far the most challenging session we've shot, not because of all of the kiddos (lol), but because of the wind, rain, and light that was shifting constantly and at the drop of a hat. Thankfully, we were able to make it work while all of their people were together and looking so spiffy, and hopefully after a heavy cull, no one will ever know how awful the wind actually was. Lol. Hats and hair were flying, rain was falling, but the people were smiling. We can work with that.

Sneak peek: Yenicca's Graduation Mini

This shoot meant so much to Brad and me. Yenicca was among the second group of 3rd graders that Brad taught here at St. John. Then, when he made the switch to 1-12 art/yearbook, Yenicca's class was the only one to have Brad as their art teacher for all four years of high school. Not only did Yenicca spend many hours in the art room as the gifted artist she is, but she also worked as a teacher's aide for Brad for two years. Needless to say, there was a long hug and teary good bye at the end of this shoot, and we made sure to reiterate that this is really just a "See you later."

We're proud of all that Yenicca has accomplished in high school. Her mortar board translates, "For my parents who came here with nothing and gave me everything," and as her stoles note, she is a first generation graduate and a member of National Honor Society.

Congrats, Yenicca! We are eager to see where life takes you, and we have no doubt that your future is bright.

Sneak Peek of the Alpers Extended Family Session:

We rescheduled and rescheduled to finally find a date where the weather would play nice, and the stars finally aligned where all of the calendars and the weather worked out. I know it's a pain, but I hope these pictures feel oh-so-worth it when families have all of their people together.

This is such a sweet family, and one we'll really miss seeing around as we start our new adventure in Buhler. This is good people raising good people. :)

Sneak peek: Brody + Kaitlyn

It seems like just last year that we were doing Kaitlyn's senior pictures, and here she is, beginning the next exciting chapter in her life! It was so much fun seeing her again and meeting her sweet fiance, Brody. They make the perfect couple and bring beautiful laughter so easily for the camera. We can tell their relationship is full of joy, and we are so very happy for them both! Congrats to you guys! We can't wait to capture your special day!
